Default Help!!! I need input from you knowledged ones!!:)

    Hi!
I'm really in need of your help. My dear hubby is in dire need of a new scent!!! He's worn the heck out of Guerlain L'Instant and Clive Christian X. I MUST get him something new and fragrant for the holidays and I see that there's a 50% off sale of Creed fragrances though Bond No.9 Boutiques. With that kind of savings I could buy the fella two or more right?
    What scents are best Please?

Also.. If I can be so rude as to ask, Which of these Bonds do you like?
Their Newest release; Bleecker Street:Cedarwood,Vanilla, cinnamon, suede, jasmine
    New Haarlem: Coffee, Vanilla, Patchouli
Wall Street: Sea Kale, cucumber, lavender, vetiver
    The Hamptons: Lime,bergamot, white jasmine,magnolia,sandalwood

Hard to choose because all of these sound so darn good!!!
Thanks so much for being so patient and helping me help him!!

    Hi Quizzy,

Welcome to Basenotes! You've probably noticed the lack of comments in response to your questions and I think this is because both of these questions are discussed so regularly. If you use the search function, you'll find numerous posts on both Creed and Bond. Additionally, if you search the directory, you can see all current feedback for all of the Creed and Bond scents listed here at Basenotes.

    Hope this helps!

As for Creed, the usual suspects are Green Irish Tweed, Himalaya, Silver Mountain Water, and Millesime Imperial. As for Bond No. 9, I'm sure many will recommend New Haarlem as it's probably the most groundbreaking scent of the line. You can check the reviews of all of them in the directory. Happy reading!

This probably isn't much help, but I wouldn't buy anyone anything from the house of Creed blindly. It's such a matter of personal opinion and preferences when it comes to this house.

Having said that, I will tell you that my favorite Creed happens to be Himalaya. It's sharp, woody, and cool. However, a safer way to go would be GIT, MI or SMW which are three that I rarely wear.

    Good luck

If your husband liked l'Instant, you could give Creed's Bois Du Portugal a try. It's not exactly the same sort of scent but it does have some things incommon.

But as said before: you should always try to get a sniff first before you buy a particular scent, and that's not just for Creed or Bond.

    Good luck with your search

The following Bonds are my faves...
    New Haarlem
    Hamptons
(Bleeker Street sounds really good but have not tested yet)

As for the Creeds....I recommend these

    MI - 3
    OV - 4
    GIT - 1
    SMW - 5
    Himalaya - 2
    Tabarome Millesime - 6

Thanks so much for all of your suggestions including doing a board search! That probably should have been the first thing that I did! lol
