Default "Corpse plant" would be a neat fragrance note!

I read this in the paper today.

    http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science....ap/index.html

I read something about perfumers adding baby fecal notes to add some edge to their fragrances in the past... is the "corpse plant" used in anything today? ;D

    Yes, I'm insane. ;D
    No longer offering decants. Sorry!

Damn those conservative perfumers .... they'll probably just stick with using "copse plants" and completely pass over the majesty of the "corpse plant!"
    ..."net", not "naut".

I'm sure Tim Burton will use it in his new scent "Eau de Corpse Bride"

They have one of these at the botanical gardens in SF. I had the pleasure of sniffing it in bloom last year.

The odor is similar to rotting flesh. A cologne with a corpse plant note would attract fly girls. And I don't mean the hip hop "fly." I mean female bottlenose.

That reminds me, I need to start a thread about stink... specifically, Stinky Tofu...

Interesting. I read somewhere about a aroma-chemical called carcassine. Not something widely used in perfumery I hope.
