    Default Gourmand Review/Recommendations

OK so pretty new to the fragrance game here and wanted to have a starter gourmand scent. Tried A Men and boy is it weird. Don't know if I could get used to it. Also tried Body Louros which I liked a lot. Hanae Mori I found becomes very very sweet, and just that, meaning with no otehr substance behind it. Rochas Man is also very nice, and is very simillar to Body Kouros imo.

So let me know what else there is, or if I'm totally off and should retry some of the ones already mentioned.

    Thanks in advance.

I like Body Kouros but another one to try which is actually my favorite gourmand is Animale Animale.

    Very reasonably priced, too.

Gotta agree with this, it's like wearing a cup of caramel flavored coffee (which I love!)...think Rochas Man times 3 in sillage!

Please don't overlook Guerlain L'Instant (despite it's longevity probs, it's just...SO GOOD!) Escada Casual Friday is a fresher interpretation of Rochas Man (also an underdog in the BN forum), and maybe Claiborne Spark for variety.

For something also niche, I would go for L'Artisan Safran Troublant

Good call on Animale Animale. It's a perfect starter gourmand, especially since it was the first gourmand scent made for men I believe.

Obsession lies on the borderline of oriental and gourmand IMO so it's worth checking out as well.
