Default Top 5 of 2005 (so far)

5.) Herrera Aqua - Herrera's back on track with this one, and she didn't make a clone of something else she's already done.

4.) Creed Original Santal -- speaking of clones... Attack of the Clones? No! It's Revenge of the Sith! This is Alluring, but NOT an Allure clone

3.) Bond No. 9 Wall St. -- Got money? Another different take on marine notes. Some might hate it, some might love it. Easily Bond's most unique offering.

2.) Lanvin Arpege Homme -- Take 1 part Herrera Chic for Men, 1 part Armani Black Code, and 1 part of M7, mix 'em together and behold! One of the best new releases of the year.

    Drum roll please....

1.) Jack Black's Black Mark Liquid Magnetism, edp. -- Kashmir Saffron & Red Cedar. Fresh, yet warm, it's like sitting in a log cabin by a fire, watching it snow... and having clean clothes straight from the dryer dumped on you. But only if you didn't forget to add the fabric softner.

    5) Dior Homme - good enough to to bring up the rear of the top5.
    4) Arpege Homme - marchpane-like with some nutty-spicy undertones. Quite nice.

This was very good. Yesterday I sampled three mentioned here, the Dior PH, this and the Arpege. I walked out with the Jack Black Blue Mark Japanese Juniper and Ginger. I will go back and ket the Saffron as well. Both of these scents just knocked me off my feet. I was very disappointed in the Arpege. It started out so new and edgy with the anise and nutmeg and then just ended up in the same Patchouli, Vanilla, Tonka Bean category as so many others.
