Default Pierre Cardin REVELATION - good inexpensive beauty

Sampled the scent a month or so ago and it got me interested.
Then sampled it a couple more times to investigate if one could get any kick out of it.

To my nose, this is quite a very well put-together scent.
At the top, it's fresh and flowery-fruity. Later it gets more fruity and woody with some light spice. The base note adds some prominent musk and a very light leather undertone.
The musk reminded me instantly of Lagerfeld Jako' basenote.
Overall, it's more fruity-woody than flowery-fruity-fougere (loads of which flooded the market).

I'm happy to say this one is "DK Unleaded EDP&Intense" or, less likely, a kind of "DK Men (Fuel) un-leathered" (without that black oily leather and deep ambergris).
To put it another way, for what it's worth, in the mid-note it is VERY MUCH cherry aromatic pipe tobacco (Borkum Riff Cherry Cavendish or Mac Baren Cherry Ambrosia, - sorry have long not smoked either so I forgot which one has less vanilla to it).

More to that, the overall smell is, to my nose, very intriguing and sort of vibrating. Certainly could turn some girls on hands down. The main virtue of this scent is that it's, being fruity and somewhat sweet, is NOT cloying.

Though I liked PC's Pour Monsieur and Bleu Marine some time back, I didn't expect such quality from this brand nowadays, a real find that is.

So if you like DK Unleaded, I highly recommend trying it.
It's not as trendy as Very Irresistible FM and Arpege PH and has some kind of classic feel to it.
The price looked quite resonable at about $25 for 100ml retail. 8-)

Any lovers/haters? What dou you guys think on this one?

    Regards, Odor.

Here are the notes from BN directory:

    Top Notes
Star Anise, Sea Artemisia, Wild Mint, Pink Grapefruit
--- of which I now recognize Star Anise (there certainly was an allusion to Opium PH)

    MIddle Notes
    Teakwood, White Jasmine, Basil, Frankincense
--- hmm, appears more incense-flowery than fruity. ok then, no regrets. 8-)
"...whisper words of wisdom, let it be" (Beatles)

    Base Notes
    Ebony, Sage, Musk, Rosewood
--- yes, musk! and rosewood (which is also in there in Lagerfeld Jako)

Regardless of some picking uncertainties, overall DK Unleaded similarity remains.

    Regards, Odor.

This sucker just isn't available in U.S. stores...at least, I've never seen it anywhere, and I haven't seen it on the internet in the U.S. either.

Thanks for your great review, though, The-odor.

Fruity-woody with some musk and light spice, eh? Sounds like it could be vaguely similar to Baldessarini by Hugo Boss, but I've never sniffed Revelation.

I bought my bottle at Wal-Mart. Its okay but I do find it very close to Jako. The bottle could have been done so much better the plastic is so cheesey >

Is this at all like Must de Cartier or its Essence version? I mention this because I'm wearing Essence today, and the ingredients include ginger, anise, grapefruit, woods, and vanilla. I really like this accord!
