Default Does clothing color affect your fragrance choice?

We all know how a nice suit, worn with a rich regal fragrance, in cool weather, can be a divine experience. Furthermore, a pair of khaki shorts, with a white linen shirt, worn on a warm summer night, can be memorable with a fresh spicy citrus.

For a minute, forget about the fit, the style and the trend of your clothes.

How much does the actual FABRIC COLOR come into play when choosing your fragrance? *Is the color a factor at all?

When I wear these colors, I tend to reach for these fragrances.

BROWN - Escada PH. *Michael Kors, Tuscany, Tabarome.
MAROON - Obsession, Paul Sebastian P.S. *Bay Rum.
YELLOW & ORANGE - 212, Grey Flannel, Carolina Herrera PH
GREEN - Cartier Declaration, Kouros, Vetiver, Aramis 900
    RED - Joop
BLUE - Erofla, Gillette Cool Wave, Halston I-12, L.V. Spezie

And I thought I was the only one! I tend to wear CdG Peppermint when wearing white, something woody like Kyoto or Mechant Loup when wearing brown, blue causes me to reach for the Rochas Aquaman or L'eau Bleue, green makes me feel the urge to wear Frank by Frank of Los Angeles or CdG Rhubarb maybe even Diesel Green, and red demands Cdg Soda or Skai. Black is all about Salvador Dali pour homme.

When I wear plaid I just put on one spray of each *

My choice is not really affected by the color of my clothes or vice versa. But there are some fragrances which I only wear in combination with a specific type of clothing. Unrelated to the weather:

Diesel Green and Live Jazz can only be used when I'm wearing a T-shirt (could be summer but also while clubbing during the other seasons)
Mechant Loup, Ungaro III and D&G PH are shirt-only fragrances (which is something I wear during the whole year)
A*men, Opium EDP and Blue Jeans are only for sweater-shirt combinations

Independant of this all is my sig. scent: Versus Uomo!

It plays no significant role for me, I only consider the color of an apparel in conjunction with the color of my belt, shoes, socks + wrist watch.

Mood & occasion play a significant role when choosing my fragrance.

Yes, definitely most of the time I take into consideration the color of the clothes I will be wearing to choose my SOTD, as well as a number of other factors, like my mood in that moment, the weather, the type of activities for the day, etc. even though this calculation is done almost inadvertently... :

Not really... at work I tend to wear lighter shirts & dark ties. I'm all over the board with the frags.

I've been tempted to wear Jicky (with its lavender component) or The Baron with my lavender shirt, dark purple tie outfit.

Not at all. I wear what I want no matter what clothes I have on.
