Default Sandalwood  by Taylor of Old Bond Street

I would appreciate any input regarding "Sandalwood Cologne by Taylor of Old Bond Street". I just came across this one on the internet and wonder if this could be a safe buy. It is not expensive (~ 30 usd) though. It gives me the impression that this could be what some people here call "old school" and "barber style"; things that I wouldn't mind if it smells good.

    Any comment is highly appreciated

    Thank you.

I had a bottle - dry, one-dimensional, slightly bitter, very barber shop, and nothing but sandalwood. A good choice if you like your sandalwood slightly soapy and light. No powdery, sweet, mysore, spicey, pencil shavings, creamy woods here.

Simple, one-dimensional, no development, decent sillage, good price, and did I mention simple?

    hope that helps!

I couldn't have put it any better, if you favour a barbershop smell, then this sandalwood is for you, I would further mention that it is a Gentleman's sandalwood, need I say more?

nope, IMHO Trumper makes the most elegant sandalwood. It is a smooth blend of sandalwood with a creamy edge to it, I can't recommend this enough!

In fact I'm expecting a sample of Trumper's Sandalwood to arrive soon. I e-mailed them a couple of weeks ago demanding this sample and they answered back saying it is on its way. I can't wait to test it !

How does Trumper's Sandalwood compare with MpG's Santal Noble?
