I hate to sound like a prude, but what is G&B PH? I like Opium but it is rather strong for a day scent. It's wonderful for a night on a town though.
Hey guys, just wondering which one would be a better fall fragrance, YSL Opium PH or D&G PH?
I haven't tried either of them yet (actually, I think I tried D&G before, but I'm not confirming it.) Considering the reviews of them on this board, I'm getting them both eventually, but since fall is around the corner I'm wondering what you guys would think of as the better first choice. Or are the both of them unsuitable for this season (and therefore just revealed my newbieness.)
Opium is very good for autumn. EDP. Sweet, spicey, warm, but heavy if oversprayed.
>G&B PH what is it?
Ah! Sorry guys, misspelling!
Thanks for the comments so far! (Don't ask how I got G&B [smiley=huh.gif])
D&G PH is one of my very faves & I can't wait to wear this in the crisp cool weather! A lot of people are put off 'cause it seems like lots of people have it...but here in Kansas City I don't smell it on too many people.

I wore Opium EdP in 80 degree weather, but was smart enough to use just one spray. I got compliments left and right. Very sweet and spicy scent. D&G is light, yet has warm sexy spicy notes in it too. The tobacco note just makes it so refined. I can't tell you how to go with this one. They're both good. You have to let your nose decide which makes you feel good sniffing it.
What kind of scents do you normally like?
It gets a bit complicated in terms of what I like, I guess I just want something noticable. Something that makes people turn heads (but not away from the scent, of course [smiley=tongue.gif]) Ah screw it, I'll just buy both and avoid the inevitable dilemma and guilt.
Thanks guys for all the comments, they were all very helpful. [smiley=grin.gif]
I really love D&G pH and feel it makes a better fall fragrance than Opium which I would love a lot more when it is a lot colder and when I am wearing a thick sweater - so that the sweetness gets heated up by the body (needless to say, it needs to be applied rather lightly). D&G pH has enough siliage to carry through even when the weather is crisp and therefore the body hasn't had as much chance to heat up the fragrance.
Am I making sense ?
Both are excellent in cooler weather.
I actually think that the beauty of D&G is that you can wear it in all weather, and it still suits.
Opium, but try also YSL M7!!!!!
If fall is (really) cold where you live: Opium EDP, otherwise you might want to keep that one for winter and go with D&G for this fall.
