    Default clean crisp fragrances

    Hi Guys

I am after a mens fragrance that has that clean, crisp smell with that WOW factor, I have afew in my wardrobe, ADP Colonia and Assoluta, creed vetiver, SMW an GIT, Gendarme and Bulgari PH, but I am still afte that elusive clean, crisp smell.

    Any suggestions

    Cheers

Comme des Garcons Dry Clean might be the scent you're looking for. Fresh, clean and extremely unusual. Yes, it DOES smell like Dry Clean but it's still wearable.

Or have you tried Cologne by Thierry Mugler? It's staying power isn't very good but it's one of the most clean smelling fragrances I know.

AZsmells mentioned it before and I like to second Tommy T. It simply smells nice, clean and fresh. Nothing more and nothing less. Maybe there's no "wow factor" but it's a great fragrance. The original Tommy Hilfiger fragrance is also a good choice. More an eau de cologne. If you don't mind that everybody wore it some years ago, you might like it.

Eau du Badian by L'Occitane is another good, clean scent. It has a very nice aniseed note and a little sweetness.

Some others you may not have tried yet:

    Cartier Déclaration

    Eau d'Hadrien

    possibly Azzaro Chrome

and, of course, - wait for it -

    Lanvin L'Homme

I was going to include Boss Baldessarini, but clean isn't exactly the word for it. It has a dry, crisp, even slightly abrasive quality on me. I don't know if that's what you're looking for or not. If you try nothing else, sample the Lanvin (and now I'll get down off my hobby-horse.)

How about Amen by Philosophy... a nice citrus and tea scent, very crisp and clean.

Or you can try their Pure Grace... smells similar to Gendarme. I think they renamed it to "Soap and Water".

I second the EDCC, Miyake, and He.

I'll add Clean Men to the list.
Top 3: London Gentleman, Blackbeard's Delight, and Sex Panther. (It works 60% of the time, every time.)

Lagerfeld man is a very fine fragrance IMO, but I wouldn't associate it with clean and crisp. It's a distinctive evening scent with a heavy cinnamon note, lavender and a musky basenote.

I would like to nominate Eau Parfumée au Thé Verte and au Thé Blanc. They're duration is not great, but while they last they are clean and fresh.

I agree with gloriacubana. Kenzo PH is a great clean casual scent.
Also Bulgari PH, though more formal, complex and sophisticated.

Baldessarini smelled like cotton candy on me. I like it though, reminds me of the carnivals.

Ahhh, you've forced me to pull this one out from my personal fresh frag arsenal!

If you can find it, and I'm still mourning it's discontinuance because they had to squash the whole grooming line, but see if you can find Aramis Surface Skin Tonic!!!! (Don't let the name fool you, it's a fine quality EdT) I sleep with one eye open just in case something happens to it!

Running close 2nd's, is Acqua di Gio and Hererra 212 on Ice for Men.

And I don't think you can get any more fresh than with Hermes Jardin Sur Le Nil. You can wear merino wool in the dead of summer, but you'll still feel like you're wearing silk with this one. It's for the the purist with a flair for simplicity. But it might be hard for many because it's like wearing pure citrus...chew a mint gum with it and you're a walking aromatherapy session!

ANNND, on a post note, try out Clean Men by DLISH or CdG's Dry Clean...nothing cleaner and crisper than a soap smell or laundry!

Try Hermes Eau d'Orange Vert or Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien. Granted, they don't have a lot of staying power, but they are refreshing, clean, and crisp!

Bond no.9 Eau de NewYork smells crisp and clean. It has this "clean shirt" smell like Tommy T , to me.
