My SOTD is Vetyver EDC from Roger & Gallet, tried for the first time with an entire 1/24 oz. sample vial, and the 24th of the 27-sample vetiver sampler collection from Liquid Arts. I'm close to finishing my first pass through the collection, and will be going back to compare favorites, adjust rankings, settle on my favorites, and then will post a "Vetiver Redux" thread with my impressions. Anywho, R & G's Vetyver bursts forth from the bottle with citrus, citrus, and more citrus, with very little perceptible vetiver. It's nice and fresh and clean, to be sure, it's just not much of a vetiver scent. Indeed, after 15 minutes it smells just like a slightly weaker Guerlain Imperial EDC. Between the two, I'd take the Guerlain for it lasts longer, but what you can smell of the R&G is certainly pleasant enough. *In sum, this is pleasant citrus fragrance of short duration with little perceptible vetiver.

Datura Noir for me, today. This is my second testing, and I think I can now write a full review of it. Please read, and I'd love to know what everyone else who tries it thinks!

Beautiful breezy sunny day in Western NY, reminded me of the seaside,
hence the only marine (or derivative) scent I like so far:
L'eau Par Kenzo. As someone said : Par Excellence. Light and breezy just like the day,
a tad bit feminine to my nose, do I get tea note ?

Hadrien Absolue by Annick Goutal for me today. This is such a good summer scent I want to make sure to get it some more skin time before the very end of the season's sun.

Creed Original Vetiver----my first wearing of this one and it is really good, not great, but really good. One younger lady I work with went absolutely ga-ga over it and kept hugging me all day long----if it was the other way around they would call it sexual harassment. Oh well, I will definitely wear it again.

Wore Polo Blue during the day and have now applied Joop Jump before going out for the night! Never worn it out before but smells pleasant enough...better than it's big brother Joop Homme by miles.
