Default The Best Citrus for a Lift?

Trying to control the fragrant air that I permeate, is my world. I would like to do so with a fragrance that has a cheerful and uplifting nuance. I actually own eau d'orange vert and have only sampled the other two on my poll. I myself am leaning twoard the first or third in my poll and cannot decide which I like more. I like all of these for different reasons but I might dare say that aqua di parma may have a more mood altering effect. What do you all think?

None of the above, although do like them a lot. I tend to go for Floris Summer Limes or Pink Grapefruit when I want a lift. There so zesty and fresh plus I doubt anyone could be offended by them.

Also Boss in Motion Blue edition! I know I can hear the groans already! This is a great fresh "zingy" scent, the one I reached for along with the two above, during the UKs heat wave! Was 32c!

    Hope that helps a little.

    Cheers

Voted for the Hermes, and I agree with Happy also.

    But ....

I own both and have to say they are both VERY short lived.

I recently tried a decant of PdN Cologne Sologne and have to say I love it! Fairly long lasting, as citrus scents go, and doesn't have the common "furniture polish" smell.

Just something else you might want to sample.

Another Happy fan. The shower gel is also quite good and does help with extending duration.

My vote for Acqua di Parma

LV Uomo would be the one for a lift I think but it is too subtle to do the job. AdP - Colonia is mahvelous, and I love the rose note.

    Consider also:
    Live Jazz
    Caswell Massey #6
4711 (very short-lived, but at that price...)

Floris Summer Limes is better than the ones mentioned in your poll

I tested Happy today and was happy when leaving the store. I'll get a bottle the upcoming month.

Thanks for all the replies. Now I have a question, Is flois limes better than truefitt and hill west indian limes? Oh and Col, I did the boss in motion blue, I love the mint in it!

Truefitt & Hill West Indian Limes reminded me too much of lime candy.

HOWEVER....T&H Freshman is a superb, uplifting citrus with great body and longevity, somewhat along the lines of Aqua di Parma...

Why, Le Roy Soleil of course.

.. Something synthetic in there, along with the natural elements, brings me right up... in a bright, vibrant mode.

I've heard so many good things about Happy that it's now on my short to-try list. Chandler Burr seems to like it too.

Eau d'Orange Vert gets my vote, but the short duration is ridiculous.

Now I'm wondering if I should have gotten Floris Limes instead of Elite. [smiley=sad.gif]

The best in this genre are:

    Detaille Escrimeur

    Bond 9 Little Italy

    IMHO, of course.

Gotta go with AdP on this. Its the only one that lasts more than 30 minutes on me. Pricey but well worth it.

    Acqua di Parma

However, you must try Crown Perfumery's Imperial or Spliced limes, now that's what I call a real citrus lift...
