    Animale. The women love it.

    I think Floris's Cefiro is under-appreciated. A fairly lasting citrus-and-green scent. I think it's a true fougère.

Less of an unsung hero, perhaps, and more of a guilty pleasure for me is HUGO by Hugo Boss. I've never actually owned it or lived with it, so I might have an incomplete idea of it, but it strikes me as having a streamlined, easy-going quality not unlike Lanvin L'Homme. Cleaner and more wearable than most of the Boss output, though a little on the sweet side, as I recall. It doesn't get much respect here, I think, partly because it came out when marines were a big thing (though it isn't precisely a marine scent) and it may have been too mass-market to really qualify as a sleeper.

    Romance Silver.

This one's gotta be my most complimented fragrance of the year so far and it's not even in my top 10. I'm not crazy about it, but it seems that everytime that i wear it out, someone compliments me on it, maybe the scent i'm smelling on myself and the scent that others smell a few feet away are totally different.
    Current top 5:
    1. MDCI Chypre Palatin
    2. Guerlain Arsene Lupin (Dandy)

    3. Roja Dove Enigma Parfum Pour Homme
    4. Roja Dove Vetiver Extrait
    5. Puredistance Black
