    Default I need some help!

    Hello folks!

Well, I'm going to buy blind again and I need some help with:
    Bvlgari BLV
    Davidoff Echo
I'm looking for a fragrance in the same way of Gucci envy, Mont Blanc Presence, Bvlgari pour homme, S.T. Dupont signature...
Which one matches BETTER this criteria?
I don't want anything like Lagerfeld classic (with discordant notes) or with very strong/harsh notes
(as Fendi Uomo, Kouros, Jacomo, Quorum etc.)
I think my quota of classic fragrances is exceeded,
I'm looking for a more versatile sweet fragrance, maybe non-offending... (Oh, my God, I can't believe
    I'm saying this...)
Please help me decide which one is better for me!!! Thanks!

BLV isn't at all versatile IMO. I can't even think of an occasion to wear it. And I think it's one of the more intrusive, offending fragrance around(the galanga and ginger note is sickening to certain people). And it IS harsh and strong. But that's just me....
If you like Bvlgari pour Homme, you might like Lanvin L'Homme which isn't too offending, subtle and quite versatile.

    thanks, Xen!
I want a sweet versatile fragrance, It doesn't need to be fresh though.
    What about Echo?

I have not tried Echo before but Azzaro Chrome is sweet and versatile definitely. It's one of those fragrances that win universal praise [smiley=cool.gif]

Echo is just one of the new boring fresh Mallrat 1-dimensional fragrances,
nothing like Envy or Bulgari PH. Bulgari BlV is more similar to what you are looking for
    IMO.

    Sweet and versatile?

    1. Armani Black Code.
    2. Jacomo Paradox
    3. Ultraviolet Man
    4. Rochas Man
    5. Lalique Le Faune
    6. Chanel Allure

Actually I really like Bvlgari BLV. But any Easterner would think it's an "Indian scent" which is very true since galanga is actually curry! It's a love or hate fragrance, so, being a considerate person, I wouldn't want to be a pain in the...nose... for those around me.

Wow... I thought Echo was an oriental fragrance... Sweet, not fresh...
Now, I'm confused... Would BLV have any note similar to the harsh cumin of Fendi Uomo for example? Or the ginger in Carolina Herrera for men???
    Well, Now I'm confused...

I suggest you try out BLV first. It's not scent that everyone appreciates and nothing like the other scents in the market.

    Bulgari BLV:
    Top Notes: Ginger, Galanga, Cardamom
Middle Notes: Tobacco Blossom, Juniper, Gingko
Base Notes: Teak, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Musk

BN Directory reveals 12/19 Thumbs Ups.

Davidoff Echo (Just the ingredients make it nasty enough to me):
    Top Notes:Living Liquid Air
    Middle Notes:Metal Aldehyde
    Base Notes: White Suede

2/14 Thumbs Up in the Directory

    My vote is for BLV.

I like the BLV better personally, and am considering it for myself. I'll probably wait until the end of summer though. My only concern is the negative comments about its lasting power.

Is there any similarities between Echo and Polo Sport or Echo is more an Acqua di Gio like frag?
I read some people saying It has some fruitness...

I can't comment on Echo - I've smelled it a couple of times and promptly forgotten it.

Blv is interesting, but not the longest lasting on me. Fred Hayman's 273 Indigo is very similar and lasts longer.

If you want something like Envy or Signature, Boss Soul is the newest scent sort of akin to them.
