Default Would you help me to advance forward?

      Hi all.

That's what I am: 33 years old, male, married, nonproduction manager at a big Russian IT company, Moscovite.

      That's what I have:
    Antaeus,
    Bel Ami,
    DK men,
    Eau Sauvage,
    Grey Flannel,
    Memoire d'Homme,
    Monsieur de Givenchy,
    Rocabar,
    Tuscany Uomo,
    Vetiver by Guerlain.
From -5 to -15 degree centigrade in winter (november-march).

      That's what I want: diversity.  ???

That's what I need: good advice on the way evoluting my fragrance domain.

That's what I reward: gratitude, thankfulness and appreciation.

I do know this question goes here in an endless stream, but collections differ (so do advisors).

      Thank you in advance.

Hi mokelembembe. I admire your collection! You already have many good bottles. I think a man could be happy with just those! But if you're asking what else might be good to add, maybe some newer fragrances, made between 1995 to 2004. Maybe one or two fragrances with citrus, even though you have a long winter. One citrus I recommend is Eau de Rochas Homme...citrus with vetiver and light wood.

Maybe Geir, which I think is floral with herbs and light wood.

Since you like some classics, you might like Halston Z-14--dark, with herbs, citrus, florals and leather. Reminds me a bit of cranberries!

Perhaps Lanvin L'Homme, kind of like wood, citrus and pepper.

Do you know what you'd like more of--citrus, floral, wood, leafy green, spice, leather--any of those?

Thank you, Yvan for you advice.

I wish I had preferences, but alas (or luckily?) I don't. I only may tell for sure I like Vetiver a bit-bit-bit more then others, but still others are my favs.

L'Anarchiste by Caron, wearing it today and I think it will be fantastic all year round. Fresh and warming at the same time!

I think Gucci pour homme would be very nice in your Russian weather. It's very woody and smells like a campfire.

I don't know if you can get British scents very easily in Moscow but, despite our mild winters we seem to make some good stuff for this time of year:

Eucris by Geo Trumper (James Bond used to wear it!) and its nice and warm and blackcurranty

Elite by Floris - Floral and smokey

Quercus by Penhaligon's - woody and rich

I do share a few of your current scents - good choices

Trot (and I'm not Russian but our cat is!)

For cold weather, you may want to try out Yves St. Laurent M7 and Azzaro Visit. I also agree that Gucci Pour Homme would be good.
Top 3: London Gentleman, Blackbeard's Delight, and Sex Panther. (It works 60% of the time, every time.)

    Man! Nebud`ka!
    Glad to see you here!

I think that any masculine Caron would fit to your collection - see some notes about Caron boutique on Novinsky blvd, Moscow (look Directory).

I`d recommend to explore some leathery colognes - it`s very unusual for Moscow and Russia to wear it. And it pays!

OK gentlemen, I guess it's time for the next step.

Didn't you know that I sometimes feel a necessity to shatter peace and quiet of my routine life.    It hardly happens every year, I have to notice.

Presently, I consider a new adventure to be  embarked.

      So that is my point:

I'm going to buy blind all the staff you mentionned (put in my pending list) i.e.:

        1. Cuiron Pour Homme Helmut Lang (2002)
        2. Eau de Rochas Homme Rochas (1993)
        3. Elite Floris (1980)
        4. Eucris Geo F Trumper
        5. Geir Geir Ness
        6. Gucci pour Homme Gucci (2003)
        7. Halston Z-14 Halston (1976)
        8. John Varvatos John Varvatos (2004)
        9. L'Anarchiste Caron (2000)
        10. Lanvin L'Homme Lanvin (1997)
        11. M7 Yves Saint Laurent (2002)
        12. Quercus Penhaligon's (1996)
        13. Tabac Blond Caron (1919)
        14. Visit Azzaro (2003)
        15. Yatagan Caron (1976)
There are some "hard-to-find in Moscow" in the list, so adviser of Floris, Penhaligon's and Trumper should be tolerant.

Then I try all I bought and give you my feedback. In that way we'll get a value of advisory-guided blind purchase.

      So, let the adventure begins!

    It's too late to try!
    Why?
    For I began to buy!

Cuiron and Lanvin l'Homme ARE with me from an hour ago.
Honestly, saleswoman conjointly imposed me a bottle of Versace Dreamer (50 ml for 16 bucks). Why didn't I reject?

Anyhow thank you, I didn't know TSUM carried frags. But what floor should I inspect?

    Mokelembembe,

after wearing them all, please write reviews about them! But not only at the forum! Go to the reviews page of each fragrance and let your thoughts there!!
I know they're not updated constantly, but I think they have a great value since it's the easiest way to get information quickly about a scent...
Sometimes you want fast info about a specific fragrance, but the members that could help weren't at that moment in the forum...

      Thank you, RCavs.

Without your mention I wouldn't have done with reviews. Great idea, I'll for sure do that!

Hope my modest reference will be of some use.

And I'll certanly give in the forum my feelings after wearing.

MonkeyManMatt, thanks for your impuls to go further.

And 16 bucks for Dreamer turns out not to be so sweet when one have to obtain 15 new colognes in a brief space of time. Guess I'd rather buy something from my blind list. Just kidding.

Prices check-up signifies I was fortunate enough with my new Dreamer.
