Default Most similar to Frederic Malle?

    Hi!

Any recs for fragrances similar to Carnal Flower? This is my first Tuberose Crush (it may be true love) but I'd like to see if the void can be filled by something that costs less than $230.00. :-/ I'd appreciate any recommendations. I have a memory of trying a Dawn Spencer Hurwitz sample that called up the same kind of scent-feeling, but I tried it years ago and I can't remember the name of it, and I don't know if it still exists. Thanks so much. Have a great evening!

I can't help you, as I am just beginning explore tuberose. I can repeat what I've heard and read, however. I believe this is called gossip! :

    Carnal Flower- bergamot, melon, eucalyptus
    ylang-ylang, salycilates, jasmine, tuberose
    coconut, white musks

Now, I'm wanting to try a couple of L'Artisans.

    Tubereuse- tuberose, ylang-ylang, coconut milk

    and

La Chase aux Papillons Extreme- which has a stronger tuberose than the original, along with linden, orange blossom, and adds an apricot
note, and pink pepper and saffron

I have only a 5ml decant of Carnal Flower and like you find the price a bit steep. Good Luck and post if you find a nice alternative and I will do the same!
    Please, spritz responsibly.

    Fracas (Robert Piguet)
Fragile eau de parfum (J.-P. Gaultier)

both cost less, but are quite great!

Thanks everyone! I know I desperately need to retry Fracas. It's been years since I've attempted this one and I used to dislike florals on my skin. Now I love them. Does one's chemistry change when one turns 40?

Shycat - Like you, I'm really anxious to try L'Artisan Tuberose and La Chasse Extreme. La Chasse aux Papillons was the only floral in my collection for a long time. It's been a couple of years since I've had this one, too, but I want to buy it again. It seems like you and I like a lot of the same fragrances!
I'm unfamiliar with Eden, Carolina Herrera, and Tuberosa by Fresh, but I'll definitely try them.

I've never tried Fragile, either, so I'll find that one as well. I had no idea it was tuberose, but until the last week tuberose was a mystery to my nose. Gardenia Passion is gorgeous, too. I had no idea it was anything other than gardenia! It's so much fun learning about floral notes.
