Thread: HELP !!!

    Default HELP !!!

    Hi Ladies (or Gents),

Need some help desperately. I have a perfume store, and I have two customers that are looking for something special.

    1) Base note - Lilac

    2) Base note - Carnations.

Carnations I can think of L'air du Temp - Ninna Ricci

    Any other suggestions.

I do need advice on the first one - Lilac as base.

Lilacs: Un Lyse by Serge Lutens, Pur Desir Lilas by Yves Rocher, En Passant by Frederic Malle and Royal Bain by Caron. You might have to do a little searching to see if they truly have lilac( or lilac like as lilac yields no essential oil) basenotes.
Sorry, at work and no time to search to see if they really do.

    Maybe this can help: http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady/perfumedes2.htm
If you use the search function on your computer (ctrl+f) and search for lilac then carnation you should get some ideas.
I am very fond of Floris Malmaison (carnation) and En Passant (lilac).

I really enjoy L'Artisan's Oeillet Sauvage. It's very carnation to me--bright and fresh. Others say it's powdery but I don't find it so much (I'm not a big fan of powder).

    Thanks for the link, Socalwoman!

Lilac: Alfred Sung Shi and Sha
Carnation: CK Eternity, Roger & Gallet Blue Carnation -- almost soliflore! -- waving to Fufu.

Caron's Bellodgia is carnations. I've read that Lauder's Spellbound is heavy on the carnation but it smells like cloves to me.
    Don't know about the lilac...

Bellodgia by Caron, the best carnation in my estimation.
Also can't go wrong with L'Air Du Temps.

For purest lilac, a nice one is Alfred Sung's "Sha."
    Also 'En Passant'

For a faint lilac note, you might go with L'Interdit.

    Hi,

Fidji of course has a strong carnation note and I love it. Bellodgia is on my wish list.

Lorenzo Villoresi "Garofano" is a stunning carnation scent.
