The Calvin Klein brand, part of the Unilever Cosmetics International portfolio, due to be sold to Coty, is introducing a major new women’s fragrance, called Euphoria. Developed by IFF with fragrance consultant Ann Gottlieb, the oriental scent is housed in an amethyst bottle, enclosed in an aluminum shell casing designed by Calvin Klein and Fabien Baron.
Euphoria will be supported by print and television advertising, scheduled to break in October and featuring model Natalia Vodinova. The press campaign was photographed by Steven Meisel, while Fabien Baron directed the TV ad. Sampling initiatives, including deluxe mini samplers, spray cards and a roller-ball fragrance samplers, will also support the launch.
The Euphoria collection, to launch globally in September, includes EdP sprays in 30ml, 50 ml, and 100ml sizes for $40, $55, and $68 respectively, a Sensual Touch Parfum Gel (15ml: $40), Sensual Skin Lotion (200ml: $36) and Sensual Bath and Shower Crème (200ml: $27.50).

generally speaking, i like calvin klein's fragrances...
...but what's up with that bottle???
looks a little odd to me to have this amorphous bottle with such a highly structured cap.

The notessound quite interesting, I must give this one a try! [smiley=smiley.gif]pomegranate, persimmon and lush green accord; a heart of dewy lotus blossom, champaca flower and black orchid, and a drydown of liquid amber, black violet, cream accord and mahogany wood
I don't care for most CK scents but I've always loved Obsession.

I like how they describe it as being "all about the drydown". Might be interesting. And the men's version will probably be bland and uninspired.
So many of CK's perfumes smell synthetic to me. I'll give it a whiff when I get around to it I'm sure. Don't know how to bring this up delicately, but am I the only one who notices the obvious hommage to the sexual act in the lines of the bottle? Seems way too blunt and vulgar ( ie: pedestrian) to me.
In Summer and in Winter I shall walk
Up and down
The patterned garden-paths
In my stiff, brocaded gown.
The squills and daffodils
Will give place to pillared roses, and to asters, and to snow.

oh, my! i never thought about it in those terms! the male counterpart, though, looks more like a foreign object than the....ummm...."male counterpart". OUCH! but i guess that would have been WAY too obvious! it would probably get censored by some kind of review board. is that even possible?Originally Posted by Artisankey
the notes do indeed seem intriguing--pomegranate, champaca flower, black orchid and cream....DELICIOUS! i'll be trying this one out as well.

...just saw a picture of the bottle and I've got to extend my remarks;
If Calvin Klein let Def Leppard name it, he must have let Warrant design the bottle, because it looks like "cherry pie " to me!
