Default What's your favorite 2004 purchase?

Okay, okay, time to move on before Serpy's tail gets in such a knot that we can't undo it .

My favorite "find" of 2004 would have to be Eau des Merveilles. This was a tough one for me, because Must, Loukhoum, Ambre Sultan, and Anne Pliska are right up there with my Nu - oops I mean new - purchases.

    But back on topic:
very difficult to pick just one so it's a tie between Nuit de No‘l and Narcisse Noir parfums. :-*

Of purchases, I've probably worn Pheromone more than other purchases this year (of which there were only a few anway).

Another I love and find myself 'saving for special occasions' is Blue Sage by EliabethW.

I have also rebought Cerutti Image, as I don't want to be without this refreshing perfume.

Oh Good Grief! ŹThere is never just one. ŹAnd then there's that "mood" thing. ŹFor perfume, I think Keiko Mecheri's Loukhoum, Balenciaga, Castelbajac and Elsa Schiaparelli's Shocking, just to name a few. ŹThen I went on that Perfume Oil rampage so most everything at Dragonfly Blue, Attar Bazaar and a large number from Madini. ŹOh, and Zoe by Fresh Scents. Ź

How about your top 100 purchases of 2004?

What made it easier for me was that I didn't want to admit how many I got this year...

OK, I could see this coming; must add one more favourite this year's purchase: Les Nˇrˇides Impˇrial Opoponax. It was love at first sniff and I have been wearing it a lot.

My favorite purchase is definitely my decant of Musc Ravageur oil from Buffalo Gal. I'm eagerly awaiting a promised sample from Paris of the EdT so I can do a comparison, but the MR oil is quite exquisite and smells so good, I almost want to seduce myself. Almost that is. ;D

For full sized purchases, Kiehl's Musk EdT is the winner. A fantastic musk that compares favorably (to my nose) with SL's MKK, only at a fraction of the cost.

For me, it has to be Habanita. Every time I smell it, its "like a virgin, touched for the very first time".

Hmmm, I was a good girl this year and didn't buy much, my two favorites are KM Loukhoum and Rochas Tocade. I was very tempted to get Habanita as well, but will wait on that for a while...

Yes, Zoe is one of my very favorites, too, Jag! Good grief, girl, we do seem to be on the same perfume wavelength 8) I went and ordered a 2.5 oz. bottle of Loukhoum, too. There's something in that one that totally soothes me and boy oh boy do I need the calm :P

Merry Christmas and Happy Nu Year to you, too, mgarisbn and ALL of you for that matter!

My favorite 2004 purchase was released already in 1991, but I got my very first bottle of it in the beginning of this year (it was in Feb, if my memory serves me well).

Well somehow this scent didn't get much of my attention after the initial enthusiasm, it stood alone in the back of my wardrobe and gathered dust - I almost even swaped it once! So underrated it was until three weeks ago in a night club I smelled something unbelievably gorgeous - so refined and inviting, spellbinding too, fresh, but yet deep and warm. What could that be?, I wondered.

It smelled somehow familiar and I could almost feel my memory cells working in my head, trying to find the exact correspondence. And finally it hit me! Next day I picked up the box, took out the bottle and generously squirted that divine smelling juice and I was in love, in the deepest love I've ever experienced. Gals and guys, I think I've found my signature scent - it's Boucheron pour homme!

    Regards,
    Tero
