    hello,

can someone suggest a good evening wear multi purpose fragrance which can be used for shopping, visiting friends or small party etc and which smells good not toooo strong and not tooo light but one that gets noticed in a better way.

    Gucci Envy

Perfect for evening wear; perfect for everyday where; and best of all, it won't break your wallet! Cheap and effective!

Dolce & Gabbana: good all-purposes scent, could definitely be worn for going out or just for a courteous visit (friends, colleagues...)
Visit: definitely original and not too strong, a good choice too IMO.
Fahrenheit: very nice drydown, unique, masculine but not a beast scent like Kouros or M7

I think that The Dreamer by Versace is amazing for the summer nights. That would be my number one pick. Another I like is Bvlgari Black but that is a little more costly. Dior Homme works out at nights as well. There are infinite amounts of choices. What you like at night is your own thing so test it out! ;D

This is what came to my mind too. Also, Jaipur could be great for you, and sometimes it can be found in very decent price.

    Have to mention Obsession, too!!

thanks again guys for your replies. will definitely try gucci envy & dreamer by versace.

    belial,

can you tellme which perfume in D & G you are referring to? thanks.

i also see that people apply it to the base of neck, behind ears and also to chest. i use the same method but quite didn't get the wrist thing though. do you people spray on the wrist or to the back of the wrist (i mean right after the palm or back of it).

    thanks again

i was referring to D&G pour homme

    (never tried D&G masculine)

regarding the wrist thing, i spray "outside" the wrist. I think usually people spray inside, but on me spraying outside gives better sillage.

    thanks belial.

when you mentioned outside you meant the side where the watch will be when worn right? is sillage the fragrance smell that travels with us or its something different.

    thanks again.

yes that's what i meant, between the hand and the watch.
Sillage means "projection" or sth like this. A fragrance that has a strong/powerful sillage is easily noticed by other people standing next to you, whereas one which has a weak sillage can only be noticed close to the skin.

How about the wonderful Chanel Gardenia, or Lovely, great any time of day. I have found Marc Jacobs to be easy to wear and all get compliments. If you want to go higher I adore Hermes Ambre Narguile, good luck [smiley=chanel.gif]

I think Allure pour Homme by Chanel would work in all the occasions.

If you think it's too heavy you could always try Allure Sport.

Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue would serve your purposes well too.
