    Angry Celebrity fragrances

What is the cheesiest, most shameless celebrity inspired fragrance that has ever been thrust upon us?

    Scoring system:

5 pts: Celebrity was a one hit wonder
3 pts: Blatant copy of another fragrance
2 pts: Over the top, cheesy packaging
2 pts: Totally synthetic. Reminds you of household cleaning products
    2 pts: Lethal silage
1 pt: Deep-discounted in less than one month
1 pt: Bad picture of celebrity on the box or bottle.
10pts: Bottle is shaped like one of the celebrity’s body parts.

What else should we award points for?

Well we've hinted at a few specific fragrances, but lets name names folks!! How about "Orange County Choppers", starring the father-son-son motorcycle builders? The picture on the box looked like a family mug shot and it lasted at Macy's about 4 days.

    um..10 plus 2, carry the 1....

    25 pts!!

    Didn't last long here, either.

Von Maur (a Midwestern upscale dept. store chain a la Nordstrom) pulled it after 4-5 months (why the heck did it even last THAT long?) and started carrying Thierry Mugler scents instead. Smart move... after all, it's just a cheap knockoff of Drakkar Noir(!) that costed even more.

Good point, Sean Jean could've asserted a scent with better longevity with Unforgivable, but in no way is this a bad scent at all. You just have to get past that "I've smelled niche before" attitude.

I haven't been impressed with celeb frags for the most part, the first I've tried being Elizabeth Taylor's Passion for Men, although it was one heckuvan oriental in a good way, it was definitely rather too synthetic on the other hand.

There is nothing wrong with Mediterraneum, marketed by....yecch, FABIO! Beautiful woody oriental, all the way!

I have nods to Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely...it actually exudes a sophisticated impression, definitely not trailer trash body spray, just clean and classy!

Once in a while, you get a good composition that shouldn't be overlooked because of a celeb's name, but definitely dismiss the celeb who puts their name behind a drugstore deodorant variety!

A bit curious what Naomi Campbell's scents smell like, possibly ultra femme, but does it smell good?
