    Default Benifits/Drawbacks to Solid Fragrances?

I was looking to make a purchase from the Goth Rosary (Vanilla Hell and Demeter) and see that they are now carrying solid perfumes as well as mists. I was wondering if anyone knew of any benifits or drawbacks to solids. What would you buy if your favorite frag was available in both?

I would probably buy both versions...

But I do love solids, I have CdG Sweet Series and Patou Sublime in solid perfume. The difference? Solid is somehow more "intimate" and closer to skin than liquid/spray and I love the sensation when it melts into skin.

Thanks for the response. Are you aware of any differences in longevity?

I have one from L'Occitane which is Green Tea, it's VERRRRY VERYYY good.

The benifit of this is that you don't look like an idiot when you want to apply fragrance in pubblic.

The drawback is that it's pretty difficult to apply it evenly because it's solid and it's pretty hard to spread it. And most of them are oily.
