Default Casran or Cristobal for blind purchase? Help!

Which one of these should I choose?

Tough choice, both are good. IMO Cristobal is more of a cool weather fragrance where Casran is a bit lighter, fresher and more versatile. If you're looking for something to wear now, between those 2 I'd say go for the Casran.
Current faves: CdG White, Amouage Dia, Millesime Imperial, Miller Harris Terre de Bois

Casran is exceptional and a highly understated frag. I have a sample and adore it and would love to buy it myself. Talk about massive longevity too.

I purchased Casran blind. When I first smelled it, my thoughts, nutshelled, were that it was probably the least offensive fragrance that I had/have ever smelled. There's nothing in it caustic. Its sweet, but not sickeningly so. Its spicy, but not harshly. There are no overbearing notes in it- licorice being probably the most prominent, but still tamed. Its definitely a no-loss choice, but again may risk not blowing you away either.

Unfortunately because of these qualities, and my own tendancy to wear scents that YELL and not whisper, I wear it rarely.

But you really can't go wrong with Casran- it was a popular topic round here some years ago for good reason. Its good shite.
