    Default SOTD/SOTE Catch-up

    Hi, guys!

I've been gone on a trip (a cruise) for the past couple of weeks, so here's the catch-up on what I wore in the way of scents:

    SOTD:
    7/1 Terre d'Hermès
    7/2 Fou d'Absinthe
    7/3 L'Eau de l'Artisan
    7/4 AdP Colonia Assoluta
    7/5 Montale Soleil de Capri
    7/6 Creed Royal Water
    7/7 Hermès Concentré d'Orange Verte
    7/8 Montale Fougères Marines
    7/9 Creed Néroli Sauvage
    7/10 Hugh Parsons Blue
    7/11 Dior Homme
    7/12 Dior Homme

    SOTE:
    7/2 Lanvin Arpège pour Homme
    7/3 Amouage Silver Cologne
    7/4 Cartier Santos
7/5 MPG Parfum d'Habit (w/ white dinner jacket)
    7/6 Boucheron Jaïpur pour Homme
    7/7 Hermès Hiris
    7/8 Clive Christian 1872
    7/9 Montale Greyland
7/10 Chanel pour Monsieur (w/ tux)
    7/11 Serge Lutens Daim Blond

That's pretty much caught up. Oh, the 13th was a long day on the plane, Dior Homme; yesterday (Bastille Day: Vive la France!), Etro Etra. Today, Concentré d'Orange Verte.

It was fun, but my suitcase was kind of heavy...

I took a tux and a white dinner jacket with all the cummerbunds, studs, etc., 4 pairs of shoes, swimwear, water sox, 5 pairs of shorts, 6 pairs of slacks, underwear, gym clothes, 22 short-sleeved shirts, 2 formal shirts, assorted belts, watches, rings, and then some, in two suitcases; and I didn't pay any overweight charges either going or coming back.

The fragrances were in two shaving kits, with some bubble wrap and soft clothes around them to protect them; nothing broke or leaked, TBTG!

It was a fun trip, just a little heavy rain a couple of times, the rest was sun or a few clouds with occasional drizzle. Tahiti is incredibly beautiful, lush and green beyond belief. The people were extremely shy until they realized I spoke French; after that they warmed up a lot, especially because I am American and not French. (They have a love-hate thing with the French; I'm sure you can guess why!) It's an expensive place to visit, but it was worth it, and a cruise is the most economical way to go there.

Welcome back Jaime B! I remembered you posting a thread on what you should bring just before you left for your cruise. I hope you had a good time! I'm going on a cruise in September and I think i'll travel light ( in terms of fragrances ) cuz I plan on shopping for a fragrance or so on each port. Cheers!!

I did some shopping in Papeete, and there was very little in the way of scents that we don't have here. I was hoping to find Comptoirs Sud Pacifique, but there was nothing of theirs in the two biggest perfume stores there.

Thanks, Vijay. I was in Tahiti though, not Hawaii. It was a great trip.... and now, to finish paying for it!
