Default More info On Yves Rocher's Secret d'Essences ROSE.

    Info from Profession-beaute.com

In an earlier discussion about Yves Rocher, we learned that though Voile d'Ambre was arriving in the USA this month, Europe was about to get the follow-up in the Secret d'Essences series: Rose Absolue.

Here is some more info I found today...

    Name: Secret d'Essences Rose Absolue
    Brand: Yves Rocher
    Nose: Christine Nagel (Quest)

    top: rose, apple, cinnamon
heart: Turkish, Moroccan and Bugarian rose.
base: a special distillation process resulted as a rose note that is in-between rose essence and rose absolute, also cedar, patchouli and tonka bean

NowSmellThis gives us more info on Christine Nagel's other creations:
    Délices de Cartier
    Miss Dior Chérie
    Eau de Cartier
Narciso Rodriquez for Her (with Francis Kurdjian)
and another rose-based scent Lancome's 2000 et Une Rôse

I tried it yesterday. Fans of Voile d'Ambre will love Rose Absolue too. Both share a soft oriental character with a fruity start. Rose Absolue is even softer/more powdery... and more floral of course. The apple/cinnamon accord in the top reminds me a bit of Tommy for men but in a warmer, almost Christmas-like manner. If you don't like patchouli, don't fear, it's not really noticeable.
    Good lasting power.

I was expecting something in the style of Stella but it's totally different. Yet it's not entirely unfamiliar, but can't put my finger on it yet.

    Thanks for the info cedriceccentric!

I am eagerly awaiting the proper launch of this. I have the Voile d'Ambre and find it a good quality, very wearable, sweet amber - easily mistaken for a more upmarket brand. I wonder - is the new Rose Absolue similar to their old beauty, Rose Ispahan? I imagine it will be fresh but is the expression / development the same? Do you have any idea?

Thank you again for keeping us up to date on the launch.

I don't care for rose scents but YR puts a little spice in theirs so I might spring for a mini! They offer them for only $3 or so. I really like Voile d'Ambre.

Where do you find them? they both sound worth testing...

Loukoumi, here is the Yves Rocher website: http://www.yves-rocher.com/

This sounds nice. I like those other fragrances you listed by Christine Nagel, too.
