    Default amouage

    from the amouage website

    Gold pour homme

This powerful floral fragrance is made for the most special, luxurious, evening occasion, rich in sophistication and splendour.

    and also

    Dia pour homme

Luxury day wear, a fragrance that is both sophisticated and vibrant. A perfect compliment to Amouage Gold, for evening wear.

and - from the reverse of the cardboard slip in which amouage dia sample is supplied

    Amouage dia
is made for the most special, luxurious, evening occasion.....try amouage gold for the perfect combination of day and evening fragrance.

so what gives? a printing error on the sample?

Aha!!! I kept my Amouge Dia PH's box here at the office. Just read the little, folded, descriptive piece that was tied to the bottle. It reads "If you enjoy Dia try the slendour of Amourage Gold for evening occasions.

so it is a printing error on the sample! you would have thought that such a basic mistake would be avoided for "the most precious perfume in the world".

what does it say about the dia?

So I will try dia for daytime. Seems quite formal???

The box/info says nothing about the Dia. Their site does though: http://www.amouage.com/englishweb/amouage/diamen.asp It's slogan is "The most valuable perfume in the world."

I would agree it's for daywear as it is fairly 'weak' in the sillage department. I am slightly underwhelmed by this fragrance .
