    Question The classic Guerlinade basenote?

    Hi,

at the moment I try to get deeper into the Guerlains. I searched the board but didn´t find a good descrition of the Guerlinade basenote. What are the notes of the Guerlinade and how would you describe the Guerlinade?

    Thanks a lot, Christian

The so called Guerlinade is composed mainly of orris, rose, jasmine, tonka bean, and amber. To my nose it is a sweet and velvety incense-like imprint.

I'd say Habit Rouge EDC is a good representation of this "Guerlinade" accord. Great stuff.
Are you not entertained??? Is this not why you are here??

I agree with Habite Rouge but here's how I found it best. I got samples of L'heure Bleu, Jicky and Shalimar and tested the base. They are all vastly different but if you smell all three in succesion you can really isolate the Guerlinade. It's also very present in the new Insolence.

    That Guerlinade accord is fantastic!
It gives the Guerlain fragrances a real twist of class and luxury. Sandalwood put it best, its so velvety.
