bijan - at least he couldn't see the idiotic ads
I'm aware that this is a question you can't answer seriously, but only with fantasy. So I would like to know your opinions about what scent would be suitable for Al Pacino acting "Frank Slade" in this movie.
The only thing I can suggest is that he wouldn't wear - let's put it like this -"controversial" fragrances, stuff like Kouros (YSL).
I'm unsure wether he would prefer orientals or woody scents. Maybe Antaeus (Chanel) would fit, maybe Habit Rouge (Guerlain).
I'm looking forward to read your comments. Thanks.

Scent of a woman is actually the remake of "Profumo di donna" in which the character of Al Pacino was played by a great Vittorio Gassman (I advise you to look for this movie too). Basing also on the original character, I cannot imagine nothing but a great classy classic with leather like
SMN colonia Russa

Maybe one from the "Floris" fold.Originally Posted by DesGrieux

Maybe Baie de Genièvre, Cyprès-Musc or Cuir de Russie.
Thanks for the responses so far. I think that Knize Ten is a good suggestion. It would suit "Frank Slade" very well.
I would think maybe Aramis JHL. Hooorah!!

I immediately thought of Antaeus as well, although Knize Ten is an equally good choice.
One of my favorite feel-good films. Pacino is incredible, as usual. Of course, my favorite scene is the Tango.

Definitely something old school... Trussardi Uomo perhaps?
He mentioned in the movie that he was wearing Bay Rum. He didn't say which Bay Rum. I think it was the scene in which the limo driver fixed him up with the hooker.
I second the Clubman Bay Rum, classic masculinity. He was a military man, and very no nonsense. Anything more elaborate wouldn't suit him at all.
He mentions that a Teacher wore something which translates to "Flowers From A Brook" in French. Does this perfume really exist? He also said his sister-in-law was wearing something that sounded like "Mitsooki", rhymes with "nooky". Does that really exist too?
The parfum is called Misuki, it was created by the house of Holzman & Stephanie. If anyone wants to discover a true 'niche' house, this one is most definitely the one.

An Classic Sensual one. Chanel Egoiste for example.
"Wow, I've never smelled anything like that before."
Well, Frank Slade is a huge scent connoisseur and admirer, so he probably has a collection (Chanel pour Monsieur, Antaeus, Eau Sauvage, YSL pour Homme, Kouros, Santos, Givenchy Monsieur, Givenchy Genleman, Trussardi Uomo, Azzaro pour Homme, Cacharel pour Homme) and his favourite is... Givenchy Gentleman, I suppose.
Great movie, by the way.

What was it?
I'm about to have an OCD meltdown.
Once upon a time, before the internet I stayed up all night 'cause I couldn't remember " Stonewall " Jackson's Christian name.

What's driving me nuts is that I do recall
Col Slade's favorite drink: Jack Daniels
And his favorite cigar: Montecristo # 1
And about 50 lines of dialogue concerning women.
"The day we stop lookin',
Charlie, is the day we die."
What the hell was the Bay Rum Brand?

Perhaps he wouldn't have worn any fragrance at all, as it would interfere with his ability to smell women's scents?

Paco Rabanne PH
I don't know what scent he'd wear, but you can be sure it would be a blind buy!

I must admit I have a limited frag vocab.
I am going to go in a different direction...
Blenheim Bouquet. Maybe because of the suit and his attitude.
I also thought, because of the title, "Scent of a Woman", Rose Poivree. This smells like the Scent of a Woman to me. Although I must admit, I would wear it a lot if I could afford a bottle. I really enjoyed my sample.
Since that movie, always i see him on screen i remember " FLEURS DE ROCAILLE" by Caron...
Bay Rum, although he didn't mention the fragrance house, since there are quite a few of fragrance houses producing scents with the same name, yet, most likely, with different notes. But remember, he mentioned Bay Rum just before he went out his (supposedly) last "date" with a high-class escort.
he would probably wear Acqua di Gio or Diesel fuel for life, TBH.
