Default Battle of the 3 Ambers

When it comes to amber, these three names come up most. Which of these three do you think is the ultimate amber and why? If you have another in mind, choose "Other" and describe it to us! : )

I like ambre oils as a room fragrance and Ambre Sultan is the only perfume I know (so I can't vote). I wish AS was half as sweet as it appears to me, making it lean towards feminine.

I voted other. Madini's Ambre is my favorite. Its an extremely deep and smoky amber that just keeps getting better as it dries down. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg either.

I voted for Ambre Sultan, dark, thick, incensy and smoky, truly an amber like no other.

I voted Ambre Précieux because it's true right out of the bottle. Amber Extreme is a bit harsh at first spray and takes a bit of time to dry down. After that, it's great. Ambre Sultan takes a REAL LONG time to dry down to it's greatness ... but some won't want to wait that long.

All 3 are very good amber scents IMHO. But I like Ambre Précieux's "what you spray is what you get" nature.

Ambre Sultan is great but I have to be in the mood for it. If I'm not it can be a bit too much. Ambre Extreme is a little boring IMO. Straight amber, vanilla. I like Montale's better - similar but a bit more complex.

Ambre Precieux is the woodsiest of the three, and has a nice mixture of spices, which makes it my choice. Even if I am not in the mood for it, at first whiff, I get in the mood for it.

I prefer amber cut with other notes. A pure amber will kill my nose in an instant so I prefer Chergui or Fumerie Turque. I do really like Ambre Extreme though. It has been something I've wanted to buy for so long but I don't think it is worth it.

My vote goes to Ambre Extreme though L'Occitane Ambre is another favorite of mine.

Ambre Sultan for sure. It is much more thick and smoky than the other too, and I love the medicinal notes in it.

MPG hands down......Those wood notes do it for me every time........

I find myself always reaching for the ambre sultan. I can't get enough of that juice. I don't care for a creamy, safe amber.
