    Very interesting!

Sadly all the "black" fragrances since Drakkar Noir and Or Black have left me rather unenthralled, but I would be delighted to be delighted!

This one has me on the edge of my seat. Oh please, for the love of god please live up to the cool name and bottle. As an artist and calligrapher expectation on this just makes me turgid.

What else has this perfumer done?

Good news! Equus has always been a favorite of mine, and anything with a strong vetiver note is bound to please ... can't wait to give it a try!

I believe Nathalie Lorson created Casran for Chopard along with Wish...?

Some one correct if I'm wrong. If its her I believe she like to contrast fresh again oriental notes....

Equus is hard to find around here... Too bad, 'cause I'd like to try it. The list of notes makes it sound really cool!

Doh! Sorry, I answered the wrong question!

Offhand, I don't know what else Nathalie Lorson has created, but nowsmellthis lists here creating a number of frags, and the base notes directory does as well. Mostly feminine frags, but she has created Cool Water Deep and Jill Sander Man Pure. She has also apparently created Trussardi Inside Man as well.

    Sighting at Neiman-Marcus.

A year or so ago I saw it at Sephora's but I think Sephora's cut down their mens frag inventory significantly.

I like Lion a lot, it is like a lighter version of Heritage.

I can't recall seeing any Lalique's there (about 1 month ago).

I really like this concept: Black ink.

I have no idea how they're going to play this out though.

When I think black ink, I think of quills and fountain pens, parchment paper, huddled amidst leather-bound books in a dimly lit library with a fire blazing in one corner and a chilly wind howling outside.

Yeah, this very sombre and Old World image is what I want this fragrance to envoke, and I'm sure I'll sadly disappointed.

I dunno, vetiver can lend kind of a bitter "old stained wood" quality to a scent.

But on the whole, no, I think it'll be just a fragrance, you know? And while the image piques my interest, I'm not a fan of dominant vetiver.

Probably have a gorgeous bottle, though.

Really excited about this one, Lalique makes very nice fragrances in general, and they all smell expensive and come in great-looking heavy bottles wich i love too. I find that the very small maketing -when compared with others- is very elegant without being standoffish.
    Good concept too!
    thanks cedric!

Apparently, it has 2 diff vetivers: bourbon vetiver and haitian vetiver with cypress on the top notes and cashmeran woods and musks on the base.
The Bottle is minimalist-inspired and very masculine, missing is the usual "prettyness" of the Lalique bottles. There also is a special flaçon for a limited ed.
not only that, we will get besides and Edt, a EDP as well!

Very intriquing and love the bottle. Lalique has a fine track record and I hope this one meets or passes it.

Hm, disappointing. For some reason I imagined a rounder bottle, perhaps a little flattened...

I like the bottle, though it isn't very reminiscent of an ink bottle (I, too, was expecting a round bottle). I still like the bottle though. It's very masculine with the bold lines, the dark woods, and the solid black colour.

Is the release date for the US and Canada, as well, or just Europe?

The bottle looks very handsome, similiar to the Armani Prive line in some respects.

Nathalie Lorson has created Perles de Lalique (wonderful), Sicily by D&G, Jil Sander Sun Delight, D&G Masculine, Chloé Innocence, and many others...

The bottle of Encre Noir is actually the male counterpart of last year's Lalique le Parfum.
