Off the top of my head, my vote is for Impact, Givenchy Gentleman, and Egoiste.

Nothing smells well-groomed like Mouchoir de Monsieur or Pour un Homme. When one smells "well-groomed," one's toilette is broadcast wide. One smells as if one has washed and cleaned, but that process is announced to the world. A nice, powdery clean smell is essential.

Runners-up include Helmut Lang Eau de Cologne (Why, oh, why did this get discontinued?), which is the quintessential contemporary well-groomed scent; Prada Man; and the poor man's Mouchoir de Monsieur, Zizanie.

Just got Helmut Lang Cologne and agree with Serpent. I find it to be a subtle frankincense scent; no musk.

    Equipage
    Bouquet Imperiale (Roger & Gallet)
    Monsieur de Givenchy
    Eau Sauvage
    TM Cologne
    Caswell Massey No. 6
    Royal Copenhagen
    Habit Rouge EDC

my outlier is Paco Rabanne PH as it has a lot more oomph than the rest but still clean in a way.

Helmut Lang was maybe 46 and very successful when he sold his brand (Prada bought it) His shops in Wien, München, Milano, Paris und New York have been closed one after another. Also Cuiron seemed sold out completely this spring. Now both the Cologne and Cuiron pop up again with e-traders. Helmut seems to be quite a character. I think he lives in Long Island now, no idea what he does these days, if anything.

I'm not so sure about Rive Gauche. Although it is smooth and dry, there is something "dirty" about it that wouldn't necessarily make it well groomed. To me, I feel that Bvlgari PH gives off the well groomed impression.

Oh wow, this thread is gold to me!

    I want it all!

I can't think of anything that hasn't been said here, except maybe my Trophee Lancome.

Just seeing certain scents named in this thread is an affirmation that they are what I'm looking for..... Gendarme, for example, has been on my wish list because it is in fact, gentlemanly.
    Lately I've been wearing:
Windsor, Bois de Santal, Original Santal, Elixir, Douro, Endymion, Reflection, Arcus, Marwah

The understanding I have of well groomed is a clean an un cluttered appearance.
Guerlain Vetiver and Bvlgari PH seem to leave that impression, as does Eau Sauvage.
