Wow! No reply since October.
I've just tried two out of three of his offerings: Red Sandalwood (sucked) Taos Pine (bit of frankincense thrown in, sucked a bit less) and Santa Fe Spice which I simply gave away, after trying the the first two.
I'm a bit of a sucker for " South West New Mexico " scents. To hell with it. Burn the sage.
Soll's schtick is to use the standard chaepo wood (bamboo?) stick but go heavy on the resin, which makes the stick sticky to the touch, harder to light, gives off a lot of smoke but is impressive when it finally catches on fire.
In fairness, I may simply have gotten the wrong scents, and his Copal or Frank & Myrrh might be knockouts. I'll never know. There was a thread praising his incense
Otherwise would have never ordered it.
I've heard good things about Airs scents, too. Why, they're 7 times as strong as regular incense! Whatever, if they're good, I'll let you know.
Otherwise I'll stick with the top grade Japanese ones and 'listen' to the incense, as they liked to say in the olden days of the Samurai.
