Thread: Who fakes GIT at basenotes? |
It's just a little comment, maybe it wouldn't be necessary.
But if I open the reviews of Green Irish Tweed (Creed), I see on the right upper corner "Green Irish Tweed products are available from [...]". Under this there's an image of a 4 oz. bottle of GIT.
Now if I'm not wrong the bottle has some characteristics that a basenoter recently named to be evidence for a fake (the golden colour around the label isn't there; so isn't the Creed-logo golden).
My question: Who is responsible for this image? Fragrancenet.com? Or is it a general characteristic of these 4 oz GIT bottles that the golden colour is missing? (As it's the case with mine.)
Thanks for your suggestions. And sorry if my thread title is too "sensational", too provocative. I didn't know another way to express it.
Thanks for your suggestions.

that picture isn't necessarily a fake at all. You'd need to get much closer to see the telltale fake elements. Its also not posted by any Basenoter, it comes from whichever online etailer advertises in that corner.
