    Default SotD Thursday 19 October

Lovely warm but not quite hot day here in Marvellous Melbourne, and I'm wearing Armani Sensi.

I can't believe how much I like this perfume, as vanilla is normally not high on the list of scents I like (or which smell good on me, as my chemistry tends to turn sweet scents VERY sweet), but the blend in this (vanilla and all) is just perfectly balanced.

Tendre Poison - got the bottle yesterday. I really like it. Very Green & Classy.

    27 degrees celsius, sunny.

I was using Opium Fleur De Shanghai this morning
Top note : Mandarin Orange, Chinotto Sour Orange, Bergamot
Middle note : Chinese Magnolia, Star Jasmine, Carnation, Myrrh
Base note : Vanilla, Patchouli, Amber

It started off fresh a bit and turned spicy very quickly.

I also went back to try Vol de Nuit after lunch. I love it, but they only sell the parfum here and it is way out of my budget.

Sadly Vol de Nuit only comes in parfum or eau de toilette. As I remember correctly Guerlain used to have an eau de parfum a long time ago. The eau de toilette is also nice (there is some on eBay now) but nothing can beat the parfum.

17 degrees Celcius and the kind of weather that makes you craving for comfortable scents. Revisiting an old love: First parfum from Van Cleef & Arpels.
Top notes: Bergamot, Blackcurrant buds, Mandarin
Middle notes: Jasmine, Narcissus, Aldehyde, Turkish rose, Ylang-ylang, Clove
Base notes: Sandalwood, Vanilla, Musk, Tonka bean, Amber

I found a site which sells the Vol De Nuit Edt Refill. It is not a pretty bottle but I guess it beats not able to own it at all.
I have just ordered a bottle of Guerlain Nahema Eau de Parfum from the Guerlain counter. Hopefully it will arrive in a month's time.

Oh Coconut: is this the birth a a Guerlain lemming chaser? I suppose your creditcard is crying. On the German and French eBay sites are regularly offerings of empty containers for the Guerlain refills, so you can dress your bottle in a decent 'coat'
Good choice, dear! Enjoy them when they arrive.

You smell wonderful, Bonni! Sensi is one of my favorites.

I'm sampling Lolita Lempicka "L" today. It's rather nice, but I think I prefer the original LL.

    Versace Jeans Couture Femme today.

I have not worn this for several months, and I had almost forgot how much I like it. The frag is sunny and happy, it´s nice to wear a cloudy grey day!
Faves right now: Chanel No 19, Stella Rose Absolute, L´Heure Bleu, Elixir de Merveilles, Samsara.

YSL Paris Roses des Vergers - a beautiful fragrance with a light cherry-sweetness at its sunny base. The sillage is delicate, and even though this fragrance is quite fresh and clean, it's undeniably elegant. des Vergers is, to my nose, the most complex of the Printemps blends, and it's an outstanding addition to the legendary Paris line.

Yipee - it's half- term! No more teaching for a week! After a long, relaxing bath to wash away that indefinable ,yet very lingering "school" smell off my skin, I followed it with a gentle dusting of Chanel No.5 talc! Now I feel chilled and fragrant.

Started the day with SL La Myrrhe, then sampled Miller Harris L'eau de Rien on one hand and Laura Tonatto Plaisir on the other. Plaisir got dissed immediately (developed a harsh edge on my skin), and the jury is still out on L'Air de Rien.
