Thread: What would ZZ Top wear ?
Although I chose the nick Zztopp, I havent seen these guys play or heard much of their music. However, they do possess an interesting "bearded" aesthetic, and I am curious as to what fragrance they wear (if any!).
"ZZ Top, affectionately known by their American fans as "That little ol' band from Texas", is an American blues rock band formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas. The group members are Billy Gibbons (guitar and vocals), Dusty Hill (bass guitar and vocals), and Frank Beard (drums). They hold the distinction of being one of the few rock groups still composed of its original members after more than 35 years, and until September 2006 the same manager/producer, Bill Ham. Their song lyrics often feature sexual innuendo and humor. ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 15, 2004"
Attached is a pic of the trio!

Moustache by Rochas????
Tauer Lonestar Memories
Anthracite, or perhaps Muscs Koublai Khan.
Peggy: "Right now, we have to get to the mental institution. Something terrible has happened."
Peggy: "Brother Boy has tried to kill himself. He jumped out of his bedroom window."
Latrelle: "Isn't he only on the second floor?"
Peggy: "Yes, but he hit his head on a lawn gnome."
Fr. Sordid Lives: The Series
"Live, live, live! Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death."
I hear Anthracite mentioned first time in BN! I just bought the Feminine A., as I have this urge to pick up discontinued perfumes. It has arrived, and I dunno what to think of it. Do you?Originally Posted by tvlampboy

"...The history of perfumery before this subdivision of niche was manufactured, both literally and imaginatively, is a long one, with thousands upon thousands of fragrances. The true fragrance lover takes each fragrance one at a time, and examines it preferably outside of the imaginatively manufactured categories and, in doing so, builds up a steady, informed basis for seasoned comparative judgments based on the sampling and information gathered from such sampling. This is why any one on the board who ever has anything particular interesting to say about fragrances as fragrances rather than as categorical constructs always has an abiding interest and passion for all kinds of fragrances and not just a narrow niche of fragrances. Conversely, the "niche whores," the more and more narrow their interests become, the more and more they mimic the ad copy of the very companies they worship. I know whose posts I like to read..."

I agree with Lonestar Memories.
"...Pearl Necklace / She wanna Pearl Necklace."
Not aftershave, thats for damn sure...
For some reason, "One Man Show" sounds quite appropriate for them.
I would say Lonestar Memories as well. But the Creed celebrity list says Aubepine Acacia.
hi, zz, i do completely agree with pluran, and would further add the smell of sweat, that's what i think, rock 'n roll is smelling... but all right... if i understood you right, it is rather the combination of fragrance and bearded asthetic you are asking about, right? as my lovers are all bearded and quite heavy i allways recommended them scents revolving around the rose/violet-theme.
e.g. touch by burberry or czech&speake's very beautilul rose fragrance, which is sadly unavailable now...
si doux, tout musc...
How about Grey Flannel then ?Originally Posted by dirk

Very good, Thrax. And Odifera's selection is most appropriate.
Knowing how wacky these guys are, I'd nominate Eau De Tube Steak.
I love Grey Flannel! My favorite scent under $15.00Originally Posted by zztopp

Actually, scratch that. I imagine them smelling like CdG Tar or Garage (and not in a bad way).
