    Question Burnt Wood equals Nutmeg??

Has anyone had experience with L'Occitane's "L'OCCITAN EAU DE TOILETTE"?
What intrigues me is the description of the main notes being lavender and burnt wood.
The marketing department says that the burnt wood "evokes" the smell of nutmeg and pepper.
Seeing as in my experience burnt wood generally smells like BURNT WOOD...I was wondering what someone with first hand experience with this scent thinks.

It's a nice woody floral musk.
The lavender is natural, there's a white pepper note, and the base is woody, but subtle, and definitely not smoky, if that's what you're afraid of.
The scent is in the lines of Burberry Touch, but very smooth, and more masculine.
    Go for it!

For me, a fine example would be Azzaro Visit. Its nutmeg note smells just like a burning log.

Well I bought it blind during the Friends & Family Sale (25% off....woohoo!) so there is no turning back now. I am on this lavender kick lately and this sure sounds different.
The description at either the Nordstrom or Saks site says it represents the "harshness" of life in Provence.
I like the sound of "woody floral musk" better.
