    Default SotD Friday 1 December

    Goodmorning!

Training for the GOURMAND Sniff-n-Speak day in delicious Vaniglia, Bourbon & Mandarino di Sicilia from Antica Farmacista.
I heard some disturbing news about the reformulated version (someone said "watered down version" )

But this bottle is still 'old stock' and it seems I will have to treasure it.

    TGIF, 19 degrees celsius, sunny

I got the flu, someone must have spread the germs at work

I am wearing Etro's Etra today. Thanks tdem for the decant. I can still smell a bit of geranium, vanilla and musk this morning. It is a very bubbly, happy scent and perfect for a sunny day like this. Unfortunately, my nose is getting very blocked and I cannot detect any smell anymore

No party or happy hour for coconut tonight, she is going to be grounded.

I'm wearing Bandit today. Unusual for me to wear this on a work day, as it is one of my favorite weekend scents. Some of you who know me, may be able to guess at the reason.
    I've trademarked the color bleu

Beginning the month with Serge...Fleurs d'Oranger. Bright and clear scent, grounded with a bit of spice.
Light rain early this morning, not very cold at all here.

    Have a great day!

Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." Idole de Lubin for me today. It's not a particularly appropriate scent for work, far to decadent and elegant, IMO; but that has *never* stopped me!

    Have a great weekend, everyone.

Dear Coconut, I hope you feel better soon. My cold took a nasty turn for worse yesterday, but I feel a little bit better this morning - as in, now I can breathe again and not feel like I'm being suffocated. But it was another sleepless night for me, so I'll stay in bed and snuggle with something cozy... maybe Cashmere Mist for now?

Edit: I've changed my mind about Cashmere Mist, well the pounding rain on my window changed it...
I'm going with Bois d'Iris by Different Company for the morning in bed.

EDIT: Change of plans.... I'm getting out of here for a while ... Cabin fever from the last for days at home set in!!!

Changed into Trouble for the evening .

    Top notes: Citron, Digitalis
    Middle notes: Jasmine
Base notes: Precious Wood, Vanilla, Amber, Blue Cedar

DH is wearing Armani Work today . He smells yummy as always.

I'm starting to "get" Serge Lutens!! (:bounce: and general huzzahs)

As a newie I could not at first understand what all the noise was about but today - with Tuberose Criminelle - I Get It!!

See, The Gentleman Cat Burglar (who donates all his loot to World Aids Day) flees to his garage (gasoline and rubber) and drives his Bugatti through mint fields to arrive at his home in Grasse where the scent of the tuberoses and lilies in his garden is the reward for some restorative digging in the wet black earth. I get it! (More huzzahs and :bounce

All this in one little sample vial! (Thank you - whoever it was!!) It's now on my "never mind wish - 'I gotta have it' " list.

Serge, Baby - whadda sensa humah!! (Is this irreverent?)

Great way to segue into the weekend!

I'm wearing Jean Patou 1000, my Perfume As Art--natural flowers made to smell like perfume, instead of synthetics made to smell like real flowers. Uses real Grasse Jasmine and enfleurage--hand-picked flowers layered over glass, coated with animal fats, allowed to transfer their essence, and then removed. EDP concentration.

Breathing comfortably in Wisconsin where I'm defying our first snowstorm of the season by wearing Rochas Poupee (gardenia with training wheels).

Flu sucks. My little Sam has it, too. We want to be buried together, BTW.

Too much puking for frag, right now. Will try AA Gentiana later. Sounds like genitalia, though. My fever is 101.8. eehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

You ladies get better and indulge yourself in something sweet and pleasant. To be better prepared for our Gourmand Saturday tomorrow! Honey, chocolate (esp its dark varieties -- should be sold at the health food stores as your tasty vegetables), vanilla, cocoa, whatever floats your boat to keep it afloat.

Fragile was not a good choice today at all, I was freezing in it all morning. Changed into Prada by Prada.
