I am wearing Mitsouko it is a new bottle edt, meaning it could be the diluted version minus the oakmoss? A slight disappointment, it is not as good as what I remembered, tears falling in my heart.

Sorry, but in December my mood is much more 'incense' than 'gourmand'. Must be all the Christmas decorations in the shops.
Oh well, let's throw in some La Myrrhe from SL this afternoon as well for the right asmosphere

Today it is Aimez Moi all the way...prolonging my museum experience from yesterday.
"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." Love Mimosa/acacia. :bounce: Our terrazzo in Pennsylvania was surrounded by clouds of mimosa - even though the drive-by gardener hated them because they were so "dirty" (Meaning he had to sweep up the fallen buds.)

I work in a flower shop and my boss orders Mimosa JUST FOR ME so that I can stick my head in the cooler thirty times a day and get a fix.

So this ayem I spritzed on untried Mimosa Pour Moi from L'AP hoping for the same fix.

An hour and a half later it has developed from a curious cucumber-juice opening to a lavender-y ghost of the much richer, more pungent mimosa I remember. (A come-down from yesterday's La Myrrhe - thank you Riannon!) But let's give it a chance...it's Spring-like and pretty.....

Off to massage - will see what a body rub does!!

Later LOVE this frag. After three or four hours it developed a luscious, warm more-than-mimosa - the same brisk powderiness with a hint of gardenia and lily. And great staying power. Lovelovelove:bounce:

Experiment: Rochas Poupee and Rochas Femme.

    I think this is working!

The Femme sophisticates (new verb) Poupee, and something about the Poupee seems to negate what others have alluded to as the sour vomit note in Femme. French floral splendor!

Poupee--Notes: Orange blossom, Pineapple, Gardenia, Green Jasmine, Hazelnut, Tuberose, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Amber, Balms.

Femme--Top: Peach, Plum, Cumin seed, Lemon, Rosewood; Heart: Rose, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Orris root; Base: Leather, Amber, Musk, Vanilla, Oakmoss, Labdanum, Patchouli, Civet

Acqua di Gio again for me today. Fresh, floral, somewhat marine, cheering.

    Have a good one!

Edited to add: Wore Coco Mlle in the afternoon. What an annoying, suffocating fragrance! It took about 2-1/2 hours for it to soften up into something even bearable. In the evening it was quite nice. But took forever to get there! :-/

MANIFESTO. I think it was nice and fresh and aromatic to start, I think, but it disappeared so quickly that I'm sure. I was delighted to see that I'd left a sample of Bois Farine in my bag so I wouldn't have to go scentless all day. I didn't even think to wash the remnants of Manifesto off, as it seemed to have completely disappeared. However, the Bois Farine was slightly sweet, warm, woody as usual right off the bat, but immediately turned to this musty, dirty grain bin smell. For future reference: never mix Manifesto with Bois Farine. It has, fortunately, calmed down to my beautiful Bois Farine.

Cristobal by Balenciaga bodylotion for the day. It´s nice to wear! About five o´clock in the afternoon, the frag I wore yesterday broke through! And I did shower this morgning!!! - It was Insolence by Guerlain, who made itself reminded! It has a very special "tone", the same as I find in L´Heure Bleu. At this time, the scent of the bodylotion had klinged off, so this was not at all unpleasant. And for this evening I puted on Insolence again. - Insolence is for sure a Guerlain, staying on for so long!

Hello sweeties, it's nice to be back after some days and you all smell wonderful!
I'm wearing Ambre Narguilé from the Hermessence series. The notes are white orchids, cinnamon, caramel, honey, vanilla, sugared tonka bean, grilled sesame seeds, rum, coumarine, benzoin, labdanum and musk.
Oh, how I love thee, although I must say that the white orchids and the sesame seeds completely elude me!

Thumbs up Re: SotD Monday 4 December

Got my Lolita Lempicka in the mail today, thanks to Djuna, and it is just the perfect scent for me this evening. It is offering me that wonderful anise and licorice that reminds me of Aimez Moi, but instead of being buttery, I smell the soft violets and the sweet vanilla. A very likable scent, I think Lolita and I will be friends for a good long while.
oh, and Djuna, I also like the Bulgari Black decant you included...good call, you thought I would like it and I definitely do!
