    Default good, classy scent

i'm looking for something to wear to career fairs and interviews, something that'd leave an impresssion but is neutral (not a love it or a hate it type fragrance).

what should i look into? aquatics??

Col said he practically got a job by wearing Richard James to an interview.

I think it fits your description perfectly.

Maybe so but it's not available in the USA unless this is it and I don't think it is.

Sure it is Dan ... Perfumebay has Richard James here.

That's where I bought my three bottle of it.

Well, Col is going to have to straighten this out. Your link is for Saville Row by RJ.

I found RJ by RJ here in the UK.

And, to add to the confusion, here is another RJ.

I still think the one essential shows on its site is the one referred to in the original post but I've been wrong before...

Dan, both your links are for the Richard James Cologne which is new. It was released this year. The directory lists the original as being released in 2003. If you look at the Escentual link, it describes the new cologne as a lighter, softer version of their signature scent. The original (signature) Richard James is an edt. I often hear it referred to just "Richard James" here, but it's actually "Richard James Saville Row". Perfumebay carries both, the cologne and edt.

I remember Col saying that he wasn't really all that impressed with the cologne (the new one), but he loves the edt. Says it has very good lasting power and is neither too strong or too weak ... which is what I've found to be 100% true (on me that is).

I don't agree with this recommendation. It's kind of 'too much' and I can imagine people finding it a bit offensive.

I'd say GIT would be good for this.

Only wear Gendarme to a proper interview though.

Duoro by Penhaligon is right up there, and it's not going to be worn by a lot of others.

You're going to get alot of different suggestions. Remember that though, that the BN crowd are not typical fragrance consumers.

My personal recomendation would be "Brooks Brothers" (not the 1818) from Brooks Brothers. It is a charming fragrance without any harsh edges. Perfect for wearing with suits and on job interviews etc.

Also, if you are going to be interviewing for a job, proper capitalization is a must.
