I had a good few tests with it but it never stood out strong enough for me to remember it when I finally had money burning a hole in my pocket. I remember it had great duration on my wrist tests too, and I remember it as a bit of a suede scent that tended toward the nice but so-so middle range. Now that you mention a ginger part of it, I think I might really have missed something. I usually go for ginger, especially in Creed's new Tabarome and in Bulgari Blu PH.
I agree fully though, that I like it more than 1881, Amber, and Image. (For my tastes, Nino Cerruti Pour Homme is the house's masterpiece of masterpieces.)
Can't say I've been taken by CerrutiSi, but it is above a lot of dreck out there and is a good scent for a good buy for certain.
