    Default Beginner: Exotic Suggestions?

I'm 28 and just "discovered" perfumes (can you believe it?!) and I am in love!

It all started with a sample of Bigarade from Malle (until then I wore a vanilla oil which made me smell like cake: warm and creamy). I love the darkness and spiciness of it, worked really well on my skin. But I don't think it's quite right.

So I'm in search of the perfect fragrance. I'm not into flowers and I would probably only apply in the morning and maybe once in the evening. Some descriptors that could apply: dark, unique, exotic, tea, warm, woody, spice, oriental, green, earthy, deep, dramatic, rich, sensual, arcane, and powerful (phew!). And, of course, sexy: femme fatale, not sex kitten (this cat's got claws).

I'm a slender half-asian digital artist and marketing professional known to speak her mind (regardless of consequences) and wear killer heels. My style is a mix of blue-haired bohemian and boardroom sophisticate.

    Can anyone help me?

I think you'll get lots of help here. There are many who post who know more than I, but try Narcisse Noir if you're up for a bit of exotica.

Tabac Blond was my immediate first thought but, seeing it already mentioned, I will recommend that you try its stablemate

    Poivre Extrait Parfum by Caron

You know, I don't actually have experience enough to tell you what I think a woman like you should wear.
I just had to note that I'm an asian digital artist too.

And out of the darkness, a voice spoke. "Smile, and be happy, for it can always be worse." So I smiled, and I was happy, and it did get worse.

Someone recommended Givenchy Organza Indecence to me several months ago and it was love at first sniff for me! It is difficult to find but worth the hunting and worth every penny.

I am just a beginner, too. My suggestions are:
Comme des Garcons Incense series ("Kyoto" or "Ouarzazate") for the dark and edgy feel.
Antoine and Lili "holy champa" for the feminine, but funky scent.

Well I've been haunting eBay. I've been shot down by bots on Samsara and Shalimar, but I'm still trying! I can't wait to smell what you've suggested!

Mitsouko (Guerlain) should fill most of your needs. It's warm and woody but also has a sweetness, but at the same time is quite dark. Don't bother with the EDT - try the EDP or Parfum (I wear the Parfum). I like it best once the top notes have worn off.
