Montale's Blue Amber is a two-and-a-half star frag for me. I dislike this the most of the five I have to sample. Friday: Attar!

I'm looking forward to this. So far, Black Aoud (out of Blue Amber, Royal Aoud, Patchouli Leaves) leads the race.

    TEE GEE AAH EF!!

Today I'm wearing Stéphanie Bakouche's creation for Parfums MDCI:

Grapefruit, bergamot, violet leaves, white thyme, cardamom, lavender, ginger, cedarwood, bourbon vanilla, musk

Like my dear Riannon pointed out in the MDCI thread, this one has a very unusual opening, but waiting for the drydown most certainly pays off here. A luxurious, warm, sensual fragrance to my nose.

    Hi Joe

I bought it years ago just between matins and getting my tonsure re-shaved. Only joking (ho, ho). I did buy it from the monastery - there are a few scattered references to it in threads here over the last year. They do a lavender cologne that Luca Turin rated as the best lavender scent. I think I'll start a separate thread about it this weekend.
