    Default Ambery Oriental Recommendations

My sister is looking for an Ambery Oriental in the lower price bracket, (i.e no niche or expensive classics please). To give you an idea of what she might like, she had a bottle of Youth Dew which she loved.. until she got bored of it. Any recommendations?

The first thing I could think of was Salvador Dali in the nose/lips bottle (amber colored juice). It's a beautiful scent & very inexpensive, I paid $16 for a large bottle.
On the sweeter side there's Guerlain's L'Instant and it's cousin Voile D'Ambre by Yves Rocher.

Well L'Occitane have bought out a new Ambre edt spray and bath range. Not overly expensive.

I would say Shalimar Light and Must de Cartier.

Thanks guys! There are many suggestions here that interest her very much, and she is going to test as many as possible. One question though - we have been researching Ciara on the internet and wondered whats with the Ciara 80% or 100% etc ?

As usual, I love all the recommendations already mentioned but my all time faves from those listed will have to be: Yves Rocher Voile D'Ambre, Guerlain's L'Instant and of course my new-found obsesson Lolita Lempicka L.

PS. Oh and why did I forget Youth Dew Amber Nude?

It's supposed to be concentrations of the scent, I suppose similar to edt, edp, etc. I haven't tried them all so I don't know how big of a difference there is between them. I assume 200% is very potent.

Try Dune by Dior. You can get a 1 oz bottle for $40.

It's my all-time favorite amber. I wore it all through high school and college, so it's not old-fashioned, but it's rich and deep.
