Default Long lasting, powerful, fresh, smelling cologne?

Hi people. I was wondering if you guys/girls could guide me to buying a new fragrance to my collection along these guide lines:

-Not too citrus (like issey miyake or CK electify)
    -Not musky
    -Not spicy
-Not soft/powdery/flowery (like aqua di gio or prada)
    - Aquatic/fresh/"winter" smell is nice
    - Long lasting, with a powerful smell

Here are some colognes I have had before that follow the same type of guideline, but most didn't meet all the expectations I listed above..

-Cool Water (bit too musky dry down and doesn't last)
-Cool water deep (love the smell, doesnt last for 30 min on me)
-Chrome (had it a while ago, forgot about it..but it's quite common.)
-Balgari pour homme (little too peppery/spicy for my taste but its fresh)
-Reaction by Kenneth Cole (weak smelling and didnt last, but fresh/warming)
-Guess Man by Parlux. (Love it. but I'm looking for more unique and powerful cologne)
-Curve Kicks (musky after drydown...not too fond of that dry down..smells a bit powdery..but it does last really long and is powerful)

I hope that helps! I have sampled in stores..but I can't seem to find one thats RIGHT FOR ME! If it smelt great..it was too common (polo blue, i.e.) or wasn't strong enough.

Please make some suggestions if you can and maybe link me to some fragrances on this website. thank you!!!

p.s. looking for under 70$ if possible.

Creed Green Irish Tweed: some people says it smells like Cool Water, but I think it's so much better..and its longevity is so much better
Givenchy Blue Label: fresh aquatic..decent longevity
Dunhill Edition: Fresh, woody and slightly spicy IMO..good longevity
YSL Live Jazz: Fresh and Cool
Azzaro Chrome: fresh but its longevity is average

If money's not a problem, go for the Creed.

I second the Bulgari Aqua and Creed GIT. Aqua de Bulgari has outstanding longevity for me, 2-3 sprays lasts more than 8 hours.

If it werent for your $70 cap, I would have suggested Silver Mountain Water.

Sample Davidoff Echo or Versace Eau Fraiche. Neither is too citrusy, musky, spicy, or powdery/floral.
I'm a fresh scent junkie and proud of it!

In a recent thread I praised it, but it may take hours to get the very nice dry-down.
    I would recommend Loewe Solo.

I think The Dreamer would be WAY too flowery/sweet for you. Like what everyone says, it takes a while to mature. Check out Sephora or Nordstrom for a sample first.

The Creed Green Irish is something you should definately check out. The malls we have over here (California) actually have stores that carry Creed that you can sample. If you can't find any, you should still buy a vial/decant first to see how the drydown/longevity is on you.

A nice aquatic scent that i've recently discovered was Kenzo. Sampled it at Sephora and it was surpringly fresh.

You're only going to find official Creed in Neiman Marcus in California. If you search the website, you can find other locations for "unofficial" purchases.

At the risk of it being too soft for your tastes, I must suggest Geir because it fits the rest of your requirements PERFECTLY. Get a decant and give it a go.

Are you in California? If so, go to any Westfield shopping center and there's a store called "Perfume Gallery" that carries Creed for $175 a bottle. They have about 5 or more of them that you can try.

on the topic of versace dreamer - i wouldn't consider it really fresh at all, but a primarily tobacco-based fragrance with the ability to become cloying if worn frequently.

i would suggest trying out kiton for men. it's availible at nordstrom ($75 for the 4.2oz and i think $55 or so for the 2.5oz). it's a very fresh and translucent fragrance but achieves its freshness from moss! it's very green and refreshing, perfectly balanced, and suitable for everyday wear. it's a "light" fragrance but lasts all day and has great sillage for what it is. very good projection too!

    just my 2 cents

Definitely give Allure Homme Sport a try. Seems to fit the bill which you have set. Or maybe Lucky No. 6?

I'll second Tabac Original, amazing fragrance for the price! Perhaps not a "fresh" scent though... A fresh one, but with something extra going on: Baldessarini Concentrée...

Clinique Happy ( I'll get fried for this!!)

Heh. I'll be the first to fry you for Happy because I don't think it lasts long at all. But then again, it's a very good scent if you don't mind something sweet and citrusy.

You are probably right; I had this ages ago, it could be sweet, it might not last long, all I remember Is it was fresh
I knew I would get in to trouble over this one, Ta!

I'd like to agree with the following,

    Geir

    Givenchy Blue Label

Lanvin Vetyver - this one gets bad press here because its not a good "Vetiver" cologne, but if you ignore that it has vetyver in its name, its quite a good fresh cologne that I feel fits your criteria.

Lightbulb Re: Long lasting, powerful, fresh, smelling cologne?

I would definitely give Creeds Irish tweed a try or even Creeds Royal Waters is a beautiful fresh scent, yet not too citrus. Also possibly give Chanel Egoiste Platinum a try an unusual scent but fresh and powdery unsure as to whether its readily available though. Good luck on your search
