    Default Paul Smith Story

I went to the mall today and tried some new scents. I sprayed Story on my left forearm and then went to another department store and sprayed the new agent provacateur maitresse on my right forearm. This was about 4 hours ago. The paul smith story is still going strong whereas the AP has faded away. Anyway, what is strange is that i keep smelling flowers. I thought it had to be the womens scent...AP i sprayed on. Oddly enough, though, it isnt. Its the paul smith story.

It's fresh, green, and woody, with some jasmine and rose for fun.

Of the Paul Smiths I've tried it's the nicest one, although London is pretty nice, too. Their other offerings leave me cold.

But this one's a keeper. I popped for it, and have worn it once or twice.

Have had the same experience. They seem very similar, at least at first.

Story is on my wishlist. A very nice frag from the magazine strip I sniffed.

i read reviews saying it is Boring and that it smells like versace eaufraiche
or d&g - light Blue PH (i pray the lord it doesn't)

anyway i will give it a try as soon as i find it at some store

does anyone else gets similarities to d&g - light Blue

    It's a fine scent IMO.

Story is a great casual fragrance, it's office friendly but not meek and boring. I went through a whole bottle of it, which is rare.

Paul Smith Story is a fabulous frag with nearly nuclear sillage and longevity which is somewhat rare for a clean / fresh frag with flower undertones. Yes, it is very much like Terre d'Hermes (not as orangey, though) and similar to Light Blue (women's edition not mens -- which is a good thing if you ask me). As a side note, Paul Smith Story is my wife's favorite fragrance that I own. That says something being that I have 50 some bottles in my collection. I'm going to Disney next week and I think it will be my vacation fragrance.

Paul Smith Story smells similar to Mugler Cologne to me. Story has ivy for green whereas Mugler has vetiver. They both have citrus top notes, but Story's grapefruit and jasmine gives it a lighter feel. I like Story a lot and have used my entire bottle up - it is time for another one. Only thing I don't like is the Story bottle shape (a book) is very awkward to hold onto and use - compared to Mugler Cologne which has one of the best bottles ever for either splash or spray. I recommend Story hiighly. It is one of the best values for the price.
