Smile TERRE D'HERMES summer or winter

hi everyone,i have been enjoying basenotes for a while now but this is my first thread so i hope i am not going over old ground with my question.I see that TERRE DHERMES was the winner of the best male scent for daytime but really wanted to know if it was more suited for summer or winter, bearing in mind that the summers here are very hot 40 c and winters around 12 c . thanks for your help.

I am wearing it today because it's a good casual Friday scent. It's 30F here today.
I got TdH about 2 months ago or so, and I am anxiously awaiting the summer months where it is said that this fragrance really comes alive!
Bottom line - you can confidently wear this one at any time of year.

They say it's winter now in Holland;temperature is 10C at the moment and it's cloudy outside.Today I'm wearing Hermes Terre, and received three compliments. Its not cold or hot outside;let's say a bit in the middle;and the sillage of Terre is perfect.7 hours after applying i received the last compliment.( I'm not a complimentgetter, I use a lot of other scents, and i'm not kidding)That's my Hermes-experience till today.

    Good day

In agreement here. For me I really do not places fragrances in a summer or winter category. I do believe that some are much more suited for certain seasons, but I will put on whatever I feel like that day.

It reveals its best qualities with heat and sweat.

I find it a little unpleasant in the cold. I'll vote summer.

Either, but I'll give summer the slight edge. The citrus top screams summer, but later qualities (spicy, rocky tones) make it pretty seasonally androgenous.

the floral base make it very versatile between the fruity and woody notes, i think both seasons are great to wear it...

hope soon i could buy it and test it in summer...

    im in love of terre...

I discovered that the woody and mineral notes become more evident in warmer weather.

TdH is one of those good, year-round frags and is very easy to wear, IMO.

I'd agree here. Terre D'Hermes gives off only a sour grapefruit note and a dry, woody, mineralic scent in cold weather....in warmer weather, it releases alot more of it's heart notes, it's resinous notes, it's sweetness, and the fruitier side of the citrus/grapefruit

Yeah, it's loaded with Iso E Super which is a smooth cedar/sandalwood scent. Very prominent in the drydown.
