Yes, last time someone had that reaction, i was wearing Un Jardin sur le Nil.
Ever have someone say you smell good and ask you what you are wearing?
If so what were you wearing?
Yes, last time someone had that reaction, i was wearing Un Jardin sur le Nil.
Of course ! Almost all of my fragrances have gotten multiple compliments(even multiple compliments in the same day) from both men and women when I wear them out somewhere. A big compliment getter for me lately is Allure by Chanel...It's pretty cool being asked what i'm wearing on a daily basis.
Looking for 15U11 Creed Aventus!
Yes!!!!! Purple Label....Geir....Armani Code Pour Homme
I've had many compliments in the line of "you smell amazing" but the only one I can remember that the complimenter was adamant about knowing what I was wearing was with Lolita Lempicka au masculin.
"Wait...is David Bowie really God?" - Penelope Garcia
The latest: Friday; it was Patou pour Homme Privé.

People have asked me about Live Jazz, Philosykos, Green Irish Tweed and back when i owned it, Armani Night.
My own mix: two parts Quorum, one part Dior Homme. I call it "Cigarettes in Heaven". (I'm just playing) That was what I was wearing, though.
Many, many, many times!
Can't remember them all, but at least these were included:
Yohji (the most-complimented!)
Voleur de Roses
"Wovon man nicht lesen kann, darüber muss man schreiben."
As I mentioned in the "Dreamer" thread going on, I usually always get complements from my two favorite girls at the bar. One's a 5'11" blonde model (she was in a few recent issues of Nylon, and some other stuff that she didn't really specify), and her friend is a 5'1" brunette who's probably the cutest girl I've ever met. Usually one loves my fragrance and the other is apathetic, but they both seemed to love Versace's The Dreamer and Michael Kors... a lot. They wouldn't stop smelling me. Good times.
I had that experience with Creed MI about two weeks ago when I was out with some friends.
Paris Hilton for Men
Versace Man Eau Fraiche
- those frequently get asked "OmgGzz WhAtZz YoUuzz WeAAriiNG" in my highschool.
Looking for Partial or Full Bottles Of:
Silver Mountain Water
Green Irish Tweed
Scent of Peace
PM me please.
This night at a birthday party...When I kissed a woman goodby, she said that I smelled good... I had ESCAPE by CK on me...
Two weeks ago I got compliments (from men) by wearing PRADA ph... think I m gonna buy this, AND a new bottle of ESCAPE, as I received my paycheck recently :-)
My biggest compliment earner is Dakkar Noir. Then Lacoste Red and Joop Jump.
Not my favorites but they get the most compliments.
Last time I remember (not counting my girlfriend) was 2 years ago roughly (by a female mate). I was wearing 212 Men by Carolina Herrera Obviously, I've had some people that clearly noticed but didn't say a thing.
Latest was a few days ago. Penhaligon's Duoro. I have had quite a few compliments on that one.
Yes. The last few frags I've had that happen with are Dia, Creed MI, Faconnable, PdN New York.Originally Posted by akenep

YES.I was wearing old spice after hours deodorant though. I forgot if i was wearing cologne too..umm.. if I was it was Chrome by Azzaro b/c it was the only one i had at the time. Some girl hugged me (she was so annoying) and she said "mm you smell good! what is it?"
lol. that's the only compliment i got from a semi-stranger (this happened in PE class and I never even talked to her. she was just one of those flirt/outgoing types.)
yes all the time
but when they ask which one or what kind or who made it...
i say "this new cologne (or scent) i got"
since saying for example "its the thierry mugler cologne" would be a waste of time especially to the people in my high school...
Chanel - Cuire de Ruissie and Eau de Cologne
Penhaligons - Quercus, Castille, and Raquets
Dior -Eau Noire, Dior Homme Cologne, Dior Homme Intense, and Dior Sweet Sun
Frédéric Malle - Angelique sous la pluie and Eau d'Hiver
L'Artisan - l'eau de l'artisan and bois farine
Hermès - Elixir des Merveilles, Jardin sur Nil, and Hermessence Confret.
Normally I don't get compliments at the office, but my closer friends are always saying I smell good (but I can't count their compliments, they know about my fragrance's passion)
Once at the office, a girl from a distant department (that I've never talked to), almost broke her neck when I passed by, trying to sniff my Antaeus... That was a huge compliment for me!
L'Instant Homme EdP--the women were uncontrollably obsessive saying "OMG *sniff*, OMG *sniff*!"
Kouros Fraiche--woman in the elevator turned around twice looking at me with a glint in her eye and smiling! She spoke volumes with those eyes!
Cannabis Santal--the girls melted smelling this, they started acting almost "feline"! The guy who sits in the cubicle next to me at work who just bought and was wearing Mugler Cologne was feeling kinda jealous.
Casual Friday--"OH! Mmmm...what are you wearing?
Allure Sensuelle Extrait--laughing at this one, testing a dab on me that day, but there are definitely some hidden masculine qualities in this scent. Sorry, but I didn't confess to wearing this when she asked.
Opium PH EdP--the woman at the register kept exclaiming someone smells nice. I confessed to wearing something, she thought it was the bottle of Gucci PH I was purchasing that day.

Rochas Man, all the time. Women would ask me what I was wearing, guys would ask me where I got it and how much it cost, that kind of stuff. I've ocassionally gotten inquiries when I was wearing some other colognes, but I don't really remember what I was wearing.
Last compliment: Terre d'Hermes, from another guy
Compliment before that: Un Jardin sur le Nil, from a girl (I remember thinking when she complimented me, I didn't smell it anymore on my skin...but I guess she must've)
YES, last night i was wearing Green Irish Tweed. I went to see my favorite Irish band, Revel's Glen. A girl bought me a drink and asked what cologne i was wearing. It was a good night. Now i need to call her
And here's a toast from last night
Here's to the girls that do
And heres to the girls that don't
And heres to the girls that say they will
But then they say they wont
And here's to the girls that i like best
And I'm sure you'll think I'm right
They are the girls that say they don't
But for you i think i might.

Loewe pour homme. Back in school there was a girl who used to look for me every morning to "stick" her nose to my neck. Was kind of an addiction to her.
In the last 6 months I bought:
Nino Cerruti pour homme
Patou pour homme
Vetiver by Guerlain
L'air du Maroc
Never, ever got a compliment for any of these juices. The last time someone said you smell good was in 1987!
I remember it very well. It was a girl in a bookstore.
I was wearing cheap stuff called Francesco Smalto.
The last time somebody told me I smell good was in 96' .... some girl in a mall... I was wearing Cool Water layered with Hugo by Hugo boss.
This stuff is good....leaves a big trail of incredible sillage....and its cheap too....i bought one for myself and then just had to give one to a friend on his birthday coz i thought it came really cheap...but then one day when this friend visited me...i realized that Francesco Smalto was just so amazing....Originally Posted by turito
should buy one for sure now....
Yep it happened today...went to work...and this HR guy tells me that i smell nice...asks me if i am wearing 'Gucci'....I roll my eyes and said hell no.....its something more unique than that.....Lancetti via Condotti....
Fantastic stuff...got it on a recommendation here in a thread a few months back.....so so so so 'peachy'.....i smelt like a peach basket....and i dint even know i was smelling of it...infact i thot it had poor longevity...but then this guy just said what he said...and yet again a strong case for 'Olefactory fatigue' is made....

Gupt, don't buy the 30 ml version of Francesco Smalto (made in the USA). It's a remake with no sillage at all. They did the same with Cerruti pour homme 50 ml; even when you stick your nose in it, its still hard to sniff that typical 80ties smell.
