Default What is/are your favorite citrus fragrances for the summer?

I am a real lover of citrus fragrances. I like my lemon/lime smells. I will flog Calvin Klein Electric-love the lime, Jo Malone Grapefruit, Aramis Cool and Escada Sunset Heat for Men-(Yes I do like it) this summer. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed on Light Blue for Men-please come through for me...LOLOLOL.

So family what are your favorite summer juices to wear?

    Holler back at me.

    Respect,

    Otto

    Yo Otto!

    My summer citrus faves:

    Mugler's "Cologne"
    Hermes' "Eau d'Orange Verte"
Bvlgari's "Eau Parfumeé Eau Thé Vert Extrême".

    Must haves for me!

I have this on-again, off-again thing with Mugler. There are times when I like it and than I am not feeling the love at all. I don't know Mugler and Prada for Men remind me of an old fashioned barbershop..LOL...can't tell you why-probably some repressed memory...ahahahaha.

    Respect,

I will second this one! I really enjoy the citrus in Chanel. I have a sample and am waiting to get a full on bottle of it.

My other favorite would be Neroli Sauvage by Creed.

As always, disregard most of what I say. It's not worth your heart health to actually worry about what a 23 year old guy from Kansas thinks. Even if he is really ridiculously good looking.

Citrico (Cologne Series) by Comme de Garcons is a new one that I bought specifically for Summer.

Also, have some Eau des Merveilles left - its not really a citrus scent (more salty I would say) but the edges are sprinkled with orange and it LASTS for a while on me. Nice one for the dancefloor too...at a hot summer night outdoor concert/rave perhaps.

Clinique Happy is probably my favorite citrus. Love the stuff, ESPECIALLY in the summer.

Why, Annick Goutal's Eau d'Hadrien of course! That's one of the ultimate winners for me - in both the EDT and EDP. It is very real and refreshing.

Other citrus scents I enjoy and recommend during the summer are Bigarade Concentrée by Frederic Malle, Annick Goutal's Eau du Sud and Terre d'Hermès.

Oh man, where to start. I love citrus.

Acqua di Parma and Happy I gladly second. But do not forget the divine Monsieur Balmain, Creed's Neroli Sauvage, Crown Spiced Limes, Capucci pour homme, and many more.

Edit: any good classical Eau de Cologne is a nice option, such as Roger&Gallet Extra Vieille, Guerlain's series of Colognes, Farina Gegenüber, if you can get it, Nicolai's Cologne Sologne, or the very nice MPG pour le jeune homme.

It's not mentioned often in threads, but my favorite citrus is Iskander by Parfum d'Empire. Wonderful lemon/lime topnotes (and grapefruit, although it's much more subdued than I detect in other citrus scents such as AdG), coriander, and a nice rich drydown of musk and a hint of amber. I haven't worn it in hot weather yet, but I'm sure it will accomodate.

malle's bigarade concentree is great - a bit dirtier than what many people would call a "summer" scent. like i'm not dirty enough already

I'll also second the MPG Pour le Jeune Homme (a bottle will be arriving shortly), eau d'hadrien, and a couple of surprises: Clinique Tailoring for Men (if you can find the long discontinued gem) and Azzaro Orange Tonic (listed as femme, but distinctly uni IMO)

There are so many good citrus fragrances out there.

    Here are two I love:

    Acqua di Parma Colonia
    Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien

    My votes would go to,

Hugh Parsons Traditional - Lemon, mandarin, cedar, cardimom, black pepper. I can't wait for Summer to break this out again!

Orange Verte, Hadrian, Blue Label and Colonia will also be in heavy rotation.

The scent grows richer, he knows he must be near

Each step he takes, the perfumes change
From familiar fragrance to flavours strange

I'm really into the Summer versions right now... Tommy Summer 2005 (light green and blue bottle) is the best there is to offer, in my opinion. Clean, light, soapy... it's perfect!
I'm a fresh scent junkie and proud of it!

The new Monsieur Balmain is lemon to the 9th degree. It's outrageously simple minded. I love it.

Chanel Pour Monsieur, Annick Goutal Eau de Sud, and Acqua di Parma. I'm trying to determine if I need Hermes Eau de Merveilles or Elixir de Merveilles or both.

    Who am I kidding, both!
My current top 10: Richard James; Clive Christian No. 1 for Men; L'Artisan Voleur de Roses; Creed Aventus, Erolfa, Santal Imperial, Virgin Island Water, and Windsor; Serge Lutens Chergui and Gris Clair

LV Uomo, MPG Racine, Acqua di Parma Colonia and SMN Acqua di Sicilia are all marvellous.

If you don't want to splash big money on your citrus, Mugler Cologne is also very nice.
