Thread: mettalic notes
To me, Chrome has a metallic accord.
Caron L'Anarchiste too.
Ce message provient du Québec!
Polo Blue has a metallic thing going.
Watch for geranium as a note.
In rotation: Greenbriar (new), Silver Mountain Water, Dunhill for Men (1934), Acqua di Parma Colonia, Habit Rouge EDC, Ho Hang, B*Men, Agua Brava
Metallic? L'Anarchiste, definitely. Acier Aluminium, not really.

I second (or third?) the l'Anarchiste vote--very metallic, makes for an interesting fragrance but not for everybody! Paco Rabanne, who once was a welder, often incorporated a metallic note, especially in his women's scents. Guerlain also has a woman's scent called Metalys (sp?) which was originally called Metallica, until the band sued.
I second the Chrome rec. This is a great one!
"Wait...is David Bowie really God?" - Penelope Garcia
Definetely Azzaro Chrome!
Davidoff Echo and Tommy T have a metallic aura too (though Echo takes the sweet side)

Surprised Pi has not been mentioned.
It has a coppery element to it.
In Nemo's drydown I also get something slightly metallic amongst all the fruit.
Terre d'Hermes, but I think that had not really been intended: the grapefruit smells like poured into a steel pot. I normally enjoy the smells a ripe grapefruit has. Also I get something metallic from Happy (men), and wearing Noir Epices always reminds me of chrome bumpers, and how I loved to polish them! The Geranium ...thank you MK !

'Il mondo dei profumi è un universo senza limiti: una fraganza puo rievocare sensazioni, luoghi, persone o ancora condurre in uno spazio di nuove dimensioni emozionali' L. V.
Polo Blue, it has on it's base notes a metallic smell
I find a metallic undertone in Silver Moutain Water. Others have described this note as "ink," "inkjet toner," or "pollution."
Yardley Gentleman has "copper notes" which I think are there. I am pretty sure they are there. Not sure, though, as I am just now trying to "get back" with this fragrance after almost a year's separation. Something is making me think it is not terrible after all, just mis-applied by me in the days before I knew better.
Good thread! A lot of times when we talk about the base of men's scents, we mention wood, animalic notes, resinous notes, patchouli. But metal denotes strength too, and some metals are even found naturally in the human body in trace amounts.
I, too, like the smell of metal...maybe I'll try Platinum Egoiste again, though the last time I did, I found it kind of cloying and busy...or perhaps I'll sample another one mentioned here.
I get a metallic note in :
Many MPG frags (Or des Indes most recently)
Truefitt & Hill Clubman
Diptyque Eau Lente - The smell of bronze
Just tried Nu by Yves St. Laurent today - I would call it a 'metallic' incense scent
Secretions Magnifiques by Etat Libre d'Orange has a sharp metallic note (even more than L'Anarchiste).
I personally could never wear this fragrance, but it has its admirers, so if you're into metal, maybe it's worth a try
I can recall metallic (copper) feeling from Golconda (JAR),
also surgery steel in Rive Gauche Pour Homme YSL,
Eau de Paco Rabanne also metallic for me.
Vetiver The Great!!!
