Default Romero Britto - should be ashamed of himself!

I finally got to sample both his women's and men's fragrance in a perfume shop today.

With his unique art work and his dedication to chartiy ....you think the guy would have wanted his scents to be unique and original?

It is like at the time Britto created these scents the marketing team checkout what was the most popular scents in Miami at that time. Angel for women and Le Male for men.

Hey bright idea let's clone these scents and sell them Britto! Your fragrances will be a little bit cheeper so fokes will buy your fragrance over Mugler's and Gaultier's. To top it off we'll have you create a quirky bottle that is a little off the wall just like Gaultier's come in a can...let's have yours in a Absolute Vodka bottle!

Please tell me this was a bad joke on Britto was playing on us?

The men's scent was a rip-off of Le Male. Not a bad rip-off either.
Boy, the gift set was a strange one too: A kid's lunch pail, with
the fragrance and a Britto wristwatch too, as I recall.

Still, the fragrance was not bad. I actually liked it better than Le Male.
I don't own either one, though.

When something becomes a bestseller with impressing figures like Angel and Le Male everyone wants to "copy" it and hopefully get comparable sales. It's no secret and it's not the only case, either ;-)

It's nowhere near as bad as his Superbowl pre-game show! I actually have it and like it. Is it very similar to Le Male? Sure. Is it a clone? No, and that's why I picked it up instead of Le Male. It has a lot less "floral" in it than Le Male. But yeah, ultimately, he's not going to win any originality contests with it.
