Yr good bud,
"Why spend life seeking that which does not satisfy? Why remain a slave, when freedom waits? Let your life shine; illumine the world with your truth!"

"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

To celebrate my 2,222nd post on Basenotes, I thought that it would only be fitting to wear a scent with the number 2 in its name.
So, Gaultier² it is!

Original Vetiver! Such a glorious day!
You are not your perfume.
Bois du Portugal (Creed)
J. Peterman 1903, a continuing testing experience.
It's sort of a cool day today so I'll wear one of my favorite cool-weather frags: L'Air du desert Marocain.

Parfumerie Generale Querelle
The much maligned H.M. . Me likes it!
"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force." Ayn Rand...

I'm wearing Ambre et Vanille by E.Coudray today.
I've trademarked the color bleu
Wore Borneo 1834 by Serge Lutens today - because it was rainy and this scent makes me feel a little bittersweet and sad...don't know why.
Started out wearing Vetiver Eau Glacee by Guerlain but I stumbled in to a store that carries some hard to find frags and ended up wearing:
L Wrist: Creed Original Santal
R Wrist: Dior Eau Noir
Santal smelled a lot better on the paper than on my wrist, it's too aquatic for my liking. I thought it was going to have more sandalwood (or at least have it very dominant). On my skin it smells like a generic aquatic citrus. Pardon my blasphemy of a Creed.
Eau Noir is nice but I'm on the fence about it. I like the spices but the vanilla is a little much. I may end up buying this some day. But I will require more testings.
I got to test a lot of great frags too. A heap of Creeds (BdP, OV, MI, Tabarome), Kiton Black, Art of Shaving's Sandalwood and the Dior trio.
